the word "hmmm" well the sound "hmmm" is really quite funny..wow that was redundant. um. yeah. like if you are inquiring about something...it is most definately a high pitched "hmm?" unless you are like totally lost in what the person is saying to you. then it is a short "hm?" and it can be in a lower tone. but in most instances of a lower tone..
