[Action]

[Mark can be seen out in front of his, Grune, and Norma's place, sitting on a little "Seat" he's made for himself on a mat. He is talking animatedly to a little bird -- a blue bird, to be precise -- and seems to be telling it all myriad of stories. To its credit, the blue bird is listening, but now and again it seems to disagree with ( Read more... )

[Taichi's walking around just exploring the village and checking around the houses when he hears someone talking. He approaches the sound and appears behind Mark, raising an eyebrow because really, he's talking to a bird. What.]

...And Norma is my erhm, well-- [Mark pauses here, fumbling because the word is still awkward to him. The pause is long enough for the bird to inject with--]

Out with it, boy!

[...Ugh] Girlfriend. That is to say, I am courting her.

[...wtf the bird's talking back? continues staying behind Mark and kind of hidden, waiting to see if the bird's going to continue talking. He's not too interested in Mark's life story just because he doesn't know Mark; the bird's his main focus right now]

[The bird, to it's credit, doesn't laugh or anything, but makes a sort of 'tutting' sound there as if to chide the others]

Then why share the nest with another female?

[Pause] thati s Norma's friend, Grune. Norma will call her G-Girl but if I forget you must remind me of her name and that she herself has problems remembering things.

[Rydia's on her way elsewhere throughout the town, when she overhears Mark and his...bird? She turns and pauses to watch, darting a curious look their way.]

And no, I do not believe that-- [Mark is about to finish when he feels eyes on him. This isn't that sensitive, but he didn't want others to overheard that. He can feel the bird glare at him as he looks around for the source of the wandering feeling. He spots her then and removes his hat, bowing his head a little]

Hello, Miss.

[She waved sheepishly upon realizing that she was caught. Eavesdropping, even unintentionally, wasn't the most polite thing to do, after all.]

Sorry. I was just passing by and heard...nothing of importance. But it's not often I see someone talk to birds.

Ah, yes, I suppose it is uncommon, even here.

[Headbow] Please, there's not need to apologize, Miss.

[Ninian is on a walk, as it seems. Not a very purposeful one, but one that takes her safely around the village. Mark, of course, is someone that catches her attention, so she decides to attempt to be social... without of course, trying to interrupt his rappaport too much with his friends.]

[This bird, it stares a Mark for a while after what he just said and then clarifies with a chirped question]

And so in the event of injury, entrust you only to Raine or Eliwood?

[Mark nods, but then takes note of Ninian out of the corner of his eye, turns, bows his head a little, and waves]

[Ninian returns the bow, and slowly moves closer after the acknowledgment]

Good day to you, Mark... I hope I am not intruding upon you?

Ah, no. I was merely... training a record-keeper to help me.

[Eliwood happens to be on another stroll through the village, when he happens to spot Mark... Conversing with a bird? Odd... Well, whatever. He's now approaching the young man.]

The nest-headed one's named Cloud?

Yes, yes. I know it seems... strange, but-- [And then Mark takes note of Eliwood, gets to his feet and gives a polite bow/nod thing without finishing his sentence]

Well met, my Lord.

[Eliwood receives Mark's greeting, and responds properly.]

Do not allow me to interrupt your conversation, Mark. Carry on.
