Um, I don't go to West Chester but I hope to someday. They're the only local college I can find that offers Nutrition as a major. Anyways, I was looking at the site and it seems pretty average to get into. However... I'm below average, hah. My GPA is ALMOST a 3.0 and my HS SAT's didn't even break 800. I've been out of HS for about 3 years... going ( Read more... )

West Chester is only hard to get into based on what your major is....as far as nutrition goes, it shouldn't be too bad I don't think. But the major problem is you're going to be a transfer, so you have to pray there's a spot open so you can get in...I'd try calling the school and seeing if you could talk to someone about it or maybe set up a visit so you know what to expect before you go ahead and apply

Well... I'm taking a totally different major at the school I'm at now and I don't think any of my classes (mainly art and a few intro to blah blah classes) would count, so how could that make me a transfer?

if you have a 3.0 in college and you wont tell them you even went to college so you could use your credits its like you have nothing. you would be trasfering in from you college to west chester and they would accept whatever they accept. if you talked to someone now you might start taking classes that WCU accepts and youll have more to start with when you transfer

Well, I thought you could only transfer if you were going into the same degree. Like if I, since I'm a graphic design major at my community college, transfered to the Art Institute. if that makes any sense, hah.

If it makes you feel any better, my friend got into the music major at WCU with a 2.67 and barely an 800 on his SATs, and I know they are much more selective about the music major than they are about the nutrition major...or so I've been told.

Also, it's easier to get into WCU as a transfer. My bf had a 2.4 and is now an English lit major. He came from Maryland and Montco, and then to here. When he got here, they transfered some classes, but they gave him a clean slate with his GPA. He now have a 3.8. ^.^
