I'm an incoming grad student (in English Lit) at WCU and I've got a room in the Village. I've been out to the area a few times, but I haven't really had a chance to do a comprehensive survey, so I thought I'd ask a few questions

From the city proper, actually, but just on the border to the Western suburbs. So "Bryn Mawr area" is accurate enough! Why do you ask?
I figured the buses wouldn't run as smoothly as claimed. But still, as long as I know I won't be waiting hours in the snow or whatnot, I guess it could be worse.
I saw the PNC on High Street listed on the internet, but I suspected it might not be there anymore. I guess I'll check out the other locations and investigate these no-fee ATMs. I remember passing that Wawa, so I will keep that firmly in mind.
Checking the various websites is a great idea. I've done a little bit of that, but I figured a little guidance never hurt. The 92 looks like it could turn out to be a very useful bus.
Thanks for your replies! You are fabulous and very helpful. I guess it's a bit silly, but I'm used to living in a city-- and near an El stop, no less!-- so I had a sudden fear that I wouldn't be able to reach anything without a car. Glad to hear that I was wrong. :D
Believe me, I understand! The reason I ask if you are from Bryn Mawr is that I have a friend from there with the nickname Zara who also does not drive, so I thought you might be her. If you don't actually live on West Lancaster, then I'm going to have to assume you're not her. ;)
Let me know if you need anything else...or even a "tour" of the area. I'm VERY familiar with the bus systems here! ^_^
Other than that, I wish you the best of luck! West chester can be frustrating at times, but I'm sure you'll figure it out!
You're very welcome! Trouble and I know each other and we're always around, so if you need something, let one of us know. ^_^
Though I am not an English major (or even a current WCU student) I am a compulsive email checker. Feel free to drop me a line at Unearthlydelite@yahoo.com. ;)
Thanks! The 104 I know about, though I've never taken it. My parents live about ten minutes from 69th street terminal, so I'll probably get to know it quickly. Is there somewhere on campus to pick up bus schedules?
Actually, yes, but it can be a little unreliable. In Sykes on the bottom floor is a place to buy bus tokens, but they have weird hours. You can also cash checks there and that's where the ATM is.
For bus schedules, the first floor of Sykes at the information desk has a couple racks sitting on the desk that you can just go up and take the ones you need. Again, it can be unreliable as they aren't often refilled. But if you get there early in the semester, you should have no problems.
Also, if you're really stuck for one, you can go to the website and print it out at Anderson. We get a certain number of free pages of printing for free every day. ^_^

Thank you. :) I was somewhat afraid to post like this, but you two have been so nice that I'm glad I did.

And thank you so, so much. You've answered them all, I think, and certainly made me feel a little more prepared for the move this weekend.
