i am listening to a thom york song that seems really simple, but is really beautiful.
and it reminds me so much of imogene heap. it's amazing&i'm sad i don't have that beauty inside me to make music like that.

i am in the mood for writing letters, and i think i will do that.

tonight
i recalled what it was like to be in sixth grade and want to be ( Read more... )

i'd share my heart but even i don't know what it's saying.
two days ago i found my "quill" pen and i sat down to write you a letter because i knew you would appreciate a letter written in liquid ink and a "quill" but i kept messing it up and making it sploch so i gave up. but i'm going to write you a letter again anyway... because thats what i do when someone is my friend. and i consider you a dear friend even though you live on the other side of the country. yes indeedy.

that's awesome! i would adore a hand written letter with a quill pen. especially if it wasn't perfect. that would make it more authentic. and you could dye the paper and burn the edges like in school when you had to make everything look old. (i used to do that all the time...but why was everything written before the 1900s charred? were there more arsonists around?)

:) thank you, friend.

haha i lol-ed at this: "but why was everything written before the 1900s charred? were there more arsonists" well then it (the imperfect letter written with a quill and ink) will be done that way indeed.

I've always been pretty close with my neighbor, too. She's taught me so very much. As have you and your sister.

hey, I was just thinking about middle school last night.
I specifically remember this one time, with you [sorta], where I stood up for you [sorta].
There was this assembly thing where these people ask questions, and to answer yes, you just step forward out of a line of people.
And I guess they asked some judgemental question, like, "have you ever smoked a cigarette?" [maybe not that exact one], and apparently you stepped forward.
A few days later, my friend saw you walking, and she was like "I don't like that girl, she smoked a cigarette." [or whatever it was].
and I was pretty mad, since the whole point of the thing was to not judge people.
I was just like...SO?? What difference does that make?
I didn't have some profound comeback filled with fancy words, because I wasn't that verbally inclined. But I do remember that, and I wanted to tell that to you.

sorry for the lengthy'ness. [=

what a cool story! here's a belated thanks.

annnd that makes me wonder what the real question was. if it was smokin', i guess that would make sense, but the only time i tried a cigarette was when my sister made a coffee cigarette. haha

anyway
that's awesome! what a neat thing to remember. : )

last night i found a letter from my best friend in eighth grade. just a stupid note you write in class because you want to act like you're too smart to be there.
it made me really sad though.. she was the closest friend i ever had and i don't even know why we lost contact. time, i guess. but now that i'm trying to get it back, i'm just being ignored.
i don't even care about her so much now....i just want that type of relationship again. and i have no idea how to get it. i don't know if it can even exist with anyone else, or at any other time..... adolescence is complicated lol

yeah, i was reading an old journal that covered fourth through like 7th grade (i didnt write that often), but it was kinda sad/cool. on the one hand, it's nice to remember the fun stuff, but then its a little tainted cause i dont know most of the people anymore.

and i think it can. its just gotta be the right person. someone who's you're equal. i think that's really important in a friendship. you know...nothing too one sided. yeah...

I am so glad I've been where I've been and lived where I've lived and been with the people in the past that I wouldn't be able to stand now. I like who I've become and becoming becuase of those people and those situations.

Yeah. it's a strange thing to go back and look at your past. sometimes i think it'd be cool to go back as the person i am now, because i have a much more positive-who-cares-what-other-people-think sort of attitude. but then all those feelings and events have helped to shape me. so yeah. it's cool.

i like who you are. : )
