If you feel so strongly about your point of views and if the people questions your view on the presidency are offending you, you shouldn't tell them to stop bugging you. Instead, allow them to say what they want to say and let the election run it's course. It's incredibly un-democratic to tell someone to shut up with their views on politics.
an uninvited harrassment is always appropriately followed by a "shut up," (not that you are harassing her) but this country has become so polarized and divided, you would think we were at war with one another...
Im not telling anyone to shut up. I’m saying, I don’t want to hear it anymore. Say it to someone else. This is my journal, and you have the choice to read it. And I feel that I have the choice to listen or not. To be honest, I hear the same cries from republicans, over and over. I’ve heard it and im done listening to their criticism. In my experience, they were the ones to put me down first, now, instead of putting them done, im turning a deaf ear. And your post proves it, you telling me the way I do things is wrong... take your criticism elsewhere...

Ok first of all Holly, I'm not singling you out like you're making it out to be. You claim that conservatives give you criticism about your views and such. Well this is America, and in America we have something called a Democracy where every individual has the right to believe in something and fight for it. The same thing goes for liberals always bashing republicans about their thinking. Its convenient for one side to point out the actions of another side while they are doing the exact same thing

WHOA WHOA PEOPLE! Calm them. THIS is why people should think for themselves and not let one extreme rule the way they "should" think. Both parties have good ideas and both parties have bad ones. Republicans bash on democrats, and democrats bash on republicans.. ESPECIALLY here in santa cruz, aka the most liberal place in the world.. ALL i heard today was pissed off democrats and i'm expecting protests.. good luck to the few republicans in this city. The botttom line is.. Holly, the fact that republicans have repeatedly taken their political anger out on you is unfortunate and frankly immature on their part, but coming from my point of view in santa cruz, democrats here do that to republicans just as much and its the same horrible cycle because yes, Derek, I agree it seems like we are all at war within our own country which sucks fat monkey balls. And Erik.. I completely agree with you that people on both ends should be able to listen to eachother's opinions and be able to openly disagree without leading to personal attacks, but

I can tell that you are in a reverse situation than i am. Except you are not a republican...or even registered for that matter. Pretend you are a republican in that town and people knew it. Thats how i feel here. It's like im not allowed to be a democrat. Anyways, the election is over. So i dont want to think about this anymore. Im disappointed in the fact that i thought Kerry could have brought so much good to this country and we're passing it all up. Good Luck President Bush..(don't screw up my life please)
