Now. those are bush's plans.. but I heard on the news yesterday that he said he would leave the choice up to each state weather or not gay marriges will be allowed... but he wanted to make it clear that he totally disagrees with it.

In the end, I hope they leave it up to the state. I would hope California would be.. "hip" enough not to vote against it.

I also think that it should be a marriage between 2 persons.

Yea, i did leave that part out. He is planning on leaving it up to the state whether or not gay couples will get most of or all the rights of a married couple. We'll see. Makes me sad to know that if I was a lesbian that i would not be able to get married.

also, Gay People pay the same taxes as everyone else, why not give them the full rights? Unforunately people who vote Republican this year are for Homophobia, Discrimination, Deficits and Deaths. But this election may not be over just yet...if the Media pays attention to the voting problems that have come up before Dec. 16...this could prolong past Inauguration Day.

PS: the cousin is a blood cousin, he is Aunt Paula's son. (Dad doesnt have any adopted relatives, Aunt Jackie is his half-sister though)

Congratulations for the Johnsons! So that would make you a cousin of the new born? ADORABLE!!!

On Gay marriage, it will hopefully be amended (it is actually already in the 14th amendment) That sex discrimination is unconstitutional, on whatever grounds it can be applied. YOU CANNOT LEGISLATE TRADITION. Laws were built to protect people. Secondly, there was a study performed in Holland where nearly 50 percent of all heterosexual unions ended in divorce; it is only 16% of same sex unions that result in separation or divorce. Try and legislate THAT, BUSH!
