my sitter gets paid under the table and wants to file as self employed. i'm not sure what this means for me. i was told she can do this but she'll probably end up owing and that i could use it as a write off. she doesn't always baby sit in my home and is asking for my full name, address and social security for her tax person. i don't feel

I wouldn't do it without meeting her tax person and having them explain what the information was needed for, who will have access to it, ect.

Even then I probably wouldn't give her that information unless I knew them FOREVER and it didn't inhibit myself.

She shouldn't need your SS#.... when we had my ex step-daughter in daycare, we got our daycare person's SS# for our tax info - not the other way around.
