I used Credo (used to be Working Assets) for about 15 years, until I moved to Canada. In all that time, I had 3 problems and they were all resolved with 1 phone call each, in ten minutes or less. I wish they served Canada; I'd still be signed on ( Read more... )

I love Credo for all of their progressive activism, BUT I can't recommend their mobile phone service because I *see* the inner workings of their provider company. I caution people to read every single bit of fine print, to ask how to see if they are using roaming minutes, to be aware of the "spending limit" limitations on their service, and numerous other things that can result in very high phone bills from the provider.

ETA: their provider company has also donated to conservative campaigns and causes. So I'm not saying don't use CREDO mobile phone service, but just do so with a wary eye toward the provider company, and check everything.

True enough, Sprint is just another sucking corporation--but I never had any problems with Credo and if you can name me one telecom company that isn't buying influence in DC, please do!

Oh, I agree with you that all telecoms are pretty much soul-suckingly evil. I'm glad your experience with Credo has been good! I just wanted to let people be aware that while Credo=Good, Sprint=Greedy Telecom Co, so caveat emptor, and check your bills like a hawk.
