Last night I surprised myself as I played for a band whose genre I'm not a big fan of.

At the time I was offered the gig, I wasn't sure why I took it. I suppose it felt right then. It only occured to me that I know absolutely nothing of their repertoire as I was about to practice with them, though I was assured it wouldn't be a problem as they don'

Then I thought, sometimes in life you just have to take the plunge and have faith that what comes out the other end is worth the splash and the undertows and the sharp corals cutting your skin
