My question is, how did he get his hands on a Glock 19 legally without a mental health evaluation?

My question should have been rhetorical. Right now, in every state, you can buy a gun without a mental health evaluation.

I'm not saying people with depression, ADHD, etc. should be prevented from buying a firearm, but couldn't we at least test for schizophrenia and psychosis?
