So, I'm also the furthest thing from a professional music teacher, artist, producer... Anything. But I base my opinions on what I personally hear with my own ears, see with my eyes and what I feel when I listen to the music. Annnd you pretty much read my mind here.
In my opinion, there were SO MANY groups with awesome bassists the other night and with the challenges that they were given this week, you were really able to tell for once. The bassists definitely got their moment to shine, especially in Groove For Thought (THAT WASN'T A TRACK, WUT?), Jerry Lawson & The Talk of the Town and Street Corner Syphony.
And the latter two? Absolutely, blow-my-mind amazing this week. My love for SCS went up like, ten levels when I heard their cover of "Creep". I was about to turn the TV off and watch the rest of the show on demand later, but as soon as they started singing, I had to sit down and watch the whole thing. Seriously, that was just... Ajkgfj. It had so much emotion and Jeremy hit all of the notes perfectly. Especially the part, you
