I just got back from my first Nia class. Nia is a style of cardio workout based on dance movement. I'm just happy I found a way to get some cardio work that doesn't involve putting on shoes. I can't actually remember the last time I participated in a fitness activity that required shoes; it was certainly well before I moved here four years ago

It has also been my experience that "very good" for me won't necessarily be good for anyone else, because it has mostly to do with speaking about bodies in a way that happens to be clear to me. In better news, having started with one good teacher in both, I now feel like I can translate other-teacher-ese much better :)
