Thanks for posting these links. Reading too fast as I normally do, I didn't see your tag and thought this would be about how it is sometimes hard to read tone in a discussion and the arguments that happen because of it.

Oh my god, THANK YOU for informing me (or re-informing, I can't remember whether I've run across this exact blog before) about the MedievalPOC blog -- what great, great stuff!! I teach both Renaissance literature and critical race theory sometimes, so I need this in my life.
