Sonic Beating's Evolver night on Dec 10 looks like a blast -- like the parties I used to go to in Toronto, that I miss so much. Two floors of DJs, doors open at 11 pm, fun ends at 7 am. That's the way to party. Even if I may need to beg a Provigil to do it these days. ;-)

There's a special one-off dance jam on Saturday night at the Masonic Hall in Porter Square from 8 to 10:30. Shamou and Stan Strickland, two of the best (in my opinion) improv dance jam musicians, are providing the music. The admission is $12 - $28, depending on what you can pay. Here's the website.

I went to Kripalu last week to partake of their DanceMeditationTM offering, subtitled "Spiritual Bellydance", taught by Dunya Diane McPherson. I didn't realize going in that it was partially a train-the-trainer session. But it led me to think: how would I facilitate sessions like this?
