Divorce

So, I have this friend who is going through a great deal of family burden. It's so heartbreaking to see an optimistic, heartfelt (yet, sometimes misunderstood :-P) man go through so much pain. I totally know how you feel. I'm absolutely terrible at giving advice. I just try and listen. I know it's the best I can do.

I feel that sometimes it's just necessary to just sit back and listen. Sometimes in life you just want somebody that you can just piss and whine to without giving any advice; just somebody to pat your hand and say, "It's okay, sweetie. Tell me all about it."

i question if he really wants to hear from a child's mouth (mine :-P) and i'm offering an ear that's not needed...but my god! he seems in depth and not just giving icing on the cake when he talks to me, so i hope my ear is useful? well, whatever it takes...i hope he'll be okay.
