A Slightly Different Kind of Legacy...

Aug 20, 2015 08:04

So, I don't know if this'll work or anyone will be interested because it's not actually TS2... Thing is, I still love the whole family thing and I love my Rymans too, but my Rymans now take a lot of work and starting other sim legacies just lacks things for me now. I need to tell stories to get me attached to characters, sim or otherwise, and ( Read more... )

It sounds intriguing! Honestly, I don't know much about the game, but I'd give it a look if you wrote updates :)

Thanks ^.^ I might be misrepresenting the game slightly, but I guess that's what we've done with the sims as well; you flesh it out a bit more so it makes sense beyond basic programming and random number generating :P

Seconded! If you decide to post it, I'd definitely be having a look. :) I'm not familiar with the game beforehand, so that alone is interesting, plus the challenge in it obviously. In TS2, it'd definitely be a hardship challenge. A mash-up between, I don't know, the Royal Kingdom challenge and the Apocalypse, maybe? :D

It's weird not having as many pictures in it as our sims stuff, but it's not dissimilar. I'm pretty sure the game is meant to be more war-and-take-over-the-world-based, but I can't resist playing the more family angle.

The thing that really gets me is the way you really don't know what's going to happen (though it can almost make you tear your hair out) - you raise your kid for 16 years, all ready for marriage- and then out of nowhere they die of 'natural causes'! May also be slightly addictive, not gonna lie.

Will you stop tempting me? *shudders at the idea of playing CK2 without cheats*

But of course I'll read it if you put it up!

Also, I have horselords now!

It's fuuuun! Or at least if you enjoy challenges. I've already got somebody planned for my second attempt when this one inevitably fails XD

I haven't bought horselords yet actually, mostly because I didn't want it to mess up the mods I was playing the game with at the time, but I expect I'll get it eventually.

Well, the two I play with the most have already updated, so .... But I understand.

Sounds fun. (Sounds like more work than I can manage: the only thing I've run other than the EHL in the last ever is a sim survival challenge I'm still working the kinks out of.)

(Weird anon is me, BTW, it booted me halfway through posting the commment and went through as Anon? Windows 10, do you hate me?)

I'll be curious to see your challenge when you've sorted it.

Cool cool, deleted the other one. Thought it was far too sensible and coherent to be a Russian spambot :P
