OK I'm probably among the biggest RENT fans who never saw it. And when I saw there was a movie I was a little disappointed cuz I was like damn should I ever see the real thing first

Actually I was planning on going to New York at some point during break to visit some old Juilliard friends, although if I did it would have to be after Jan 12 I think...when does your break end and would you wanna go together?

well i was kind of hoping we could go this week--though it's getting close so you guys might have plans, but really it doesn't seem like there's be definite tickets; between christmas and new years is a crazy time to try to get tickets to anything on short notice

(omg i hear the chinatown bus is expensive now?? damn.)

waaah why does my break end on the 2nd?
buttttttttt... go see RENT: the movie. it's different from the musical, so liz has told me.
you can watch the movie and then see the musical and then be like WOW about the musical, but my opinion of the movie was that the singing as well as cinematography/production values/movie storytelling was excellent. worth it.
