I ended up choosing UMCP over my other schools mainly because it seemed like the more practical choice, but still a really good education. My stance is that it's better to go to a cheap school for undergrad and a more expensive school for grad than to go instantly in debt from undergrad alone.

Howeverrrr if you're one of those people that really can't stand UMCP, then don't go? I dunno I'm just a dumb musician XD

I'd go to UIUC over UMCP (provided you can afford it that is). It blows maryland out of the water for engineering (not that maryland's bad at all, just that UIUC is so good at it). I'm assuming you won't be spending too much time in a grad school anyway right? Masters usually only takes an extra year ( ... )
