Tuesday's songathon (try it or refer to it)
1) Linkin Park - By Myself
Good job here to Jonas although I can't say this one was too tough :)
2) Baltimora - Tarzan Boy
Face it, you weren't going to get this one. I don't mean that but it's pretty tough - part of a "Greatest Hits of the 80s" album. 80s are cool.
3) Finch - Stay With Me
Not terribly uncommon but the clip could have thrown you off and Finch isn't all that popular.
4) Evanescence - Further Away
Yeah, you didn't think Evanescence had more than one album, did you. I have about 4 hours of them. Neat song, I definitely like Evanescence.
5) Gladys Knight - Do You Hear What I Hear
Yay Paula for calling this one! Cool tune I think. From a Christmas songs collection.
6) Collective Soul - Shine
And Jonas gets back his lead.. good work. I find Collective Soul a little bit weak in some ways but not bad music by any means. Pretty good song.
7) Bette Midler - Wind Beneath My Wings
More surprised that this one wasn't nabbed, looks pretty easy. I think we sang this in Fabulous Flying Fingers and I've been without it till Karaoke Revolution and subsequent downloadage.
8) Pink Floyd - Time
Wow, Lauren, nice job! I didn't expect anyone to get this oddball because Pink Floyd isn't as out there. "Discovered" this song when really paying close attention for this meme - it's very poetic.
9) Elton John - This Train Don't Stop Here Anymore
Actually didn't pay enough attention to understand this one before. Nice song, Elton John is qualitey.
10) Rent - Your Eyes
GJ to Jessica on recognizing this passionate one-man song from the ending to Rent - a superb musical, and this is one of my favorite songs.
11) Eagles - Hotel California
Jonas & Jessica, pretty good! The lyrics I cut were very strange - in a way, that hurts likeliness of getting it, and in a way it helps. And of course this is a classic.
12) Jewel - Foolish Games
Hum... no takers. Lady singer angry at pretentious man, I like the style.
13) Les Miserables - Cosette - Castle On A Cloud
It was soo hard to find 4 lines in this song that didn't mention the title. Les Miserables recording is neat although I can't say I enjoy it half as much as Rent. But I know many people who adore Les Mis and Jessica certainly didn't let this one slip through her fingers.
14) Eurythmics - I Could Give You (A Mirror)
Um... heard this one for the first time for the meme. Eurythmics is kind of different. Not *bad* but I don't think I would have picked this song.
15) Don Cornell - Hold My Hand
Well, you got one from the 80s collection, here's one from - you guessed it - the 50s! Definitely a genre unto itself within this spattering. No worries for not getting this song.
16) Live - Sun
No one knows Live
