This started with 4thoffive's post about the lack of fic, where I mentioned I'd been cheating on Hawaii 5-0 with another fandom. Then tkeylasunset and breifly mentioned a fusion/crossover fic meme since others had talked about writing for other fandoms too. Oohh this was great! I love OUAT too (although I've only read one fanfic, probably because I only have "casual ships" for the show) - and tbh I'm glad you're not continuing this since I know Graham's fate! ;__

Mary I would have said best fits Ruby, or maybe August.
As for Snow and Charming I have no idea, Chin and Malia would be good except there's no way they could be Danny's parents and he and Grace are perfect as Emma and Henry.
Ya know now that I think of it, you might go very AU and make Steve and Mary Hansel and Gretel. I know in the show they were kids, but they had Pinocchio grow up so...think about it they're a brother and sister whose father sent them away because he couldn't handle raising them.

I only just realized that in my analogy with the Red/Snow friendship and Chin and Malia as the Charmings, that would mean Chin is Snow ;D (I wrote that when it was very late...) - so maybe not. (Then again, I'm not against genderbend-casting! ^^ I love it actually.)

Ooohh yes, Steve and Mary as Hansel and Gretel would actually be really very fitting! But how do you get Steve and Danny together then?
Maybe Steve should rather stay Sheriff, and if Mary is Ruby then there is a bit of a wolf-y connection at least...?

On a sidenote: I'm still disappointed they never went for Kono/Fong on the show (I still have a little hope they might at some point... I imagine Adam won't be good for her in the long run even though I do believe he tries.)
- mentioning this because maybe there could be a casting for Kono and Fong where the OUAT characters are a couple (or might get there)? :)

But how do you get Steve and Danny together then?

Well that's no problem at all. Just write them their own story. Emma didn't end up with Graham. They were only 'together' for like 10 minutes before you know what happened. Plus, they actually aren't my OTP for OUAT, it was just easier for me to fit Steve in as Graham than as August.
Kono and Fong, I have no idea.
