STEP ONE: GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE!
Wake up at an ungodly late hour of the day.
STEP TWO: RESPONSIBILITY
Find out what you are supposed to do that day...
...and completely disregard it.
STEP THREE: THE GREAT BEYOND
Get a handle on your surroundings, take a look outside.
Don't forget to stop and smell the roses.
Find a comfortable seat.
Take a quick nap.
STEP FOUR: TAKE OFF
Make some tea or hot chocolate for energy.
Then light some scented candles to create a pleasant mood.
Cinnamon is in season.
STEP FIVE: GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO PROCRASTINATE
Work on an unfinished project, get yourself interested in it again.
STEP SIX: GROWING UP IS OVER RATED
Find something to return you to childhood and don't be afraid if you haven't improved.
STEP SEVEN: FEED THE TECHNOLOGY ADDICTION
Make a brief stop at your e-mail.
Read the ones in detail that you only glanced at before.
Don't forget to check Livejournal! Read up on what your friends are up to that day too.
Click out of those annoying pop-ups advertising blinged out cell phones and ipods. They're ugly anyway.
Sign on to AIM or another instant messaging program. IM someone you haven't talked to in awhile and have a good conversation with them.
Don't forget a witty (or at least a somewhat interesting) away message!
STEP EIGHT: SITTING TOO CLOSE RUINS YOUR EYES
Watch some really really bad television.
Any television show with a unicorn in it, automatically is bad.
STEP NINE: FIND SUSTENANCE
Eat, and eat well.
Make a lot of food, eat leftovers and lunchmeat.
STEP TEN: MAKE SOMETHING USEFUL (PLAY DOUGH!)
INGREDIENTS:
Flour
Salt
Cream of Tarter
Water
Oil (vegetable)
Food Coloring
TO START: Add one cup of flour
Add HALF a cup of salt
Add TWO teaspoons of cream of tarter
STIR THOSE TOGETHER!!!
Then add ONE cup of water
Add ONE tablespoon of Vegetable Oil
(olive oil will work too)
Add ONE teaspoon of food coloring.
If you want a more vibrant color, you can add extra drops into the mixture.
Stir it all together now.
Until it looks like this.
Turn on the stove so the heat is at medium.
Then stir over the heat until it starts to make a big ball.
Once it starts to look like this, turn off the heat. Once it's cooled use the ball to pick up what you can of the extra peices.
Pull your ball out of the pan and then knead it until it's smooth.
You can use a plastic spatula to scrape off what's left in the pan. It comes off pretty easily.
Last but not least store the play dough in a giant ziploc so it doesn't dry out.
You can always make more than one color, it doesn't take very long.
STEP ELEVEN: THE EVENING
Head out for a walk, if you have a dog, bring him/her.
Take a walk around your neighborhood. If you live near the woods where there are paths, it's even better.
Watch for strangely shaped tree branches and other oddities. Those are always the best ones.
The best time to go is right before the sunset while the sun is shining through the trees, or in-between houses.
Watch for runners and joggers, study the way they run and admire it.
Find a really peaceful spot to sit and ponder for a minute.
Eventually you have to continue. Choose a path and follow it.
Don't forget to let your canine companion (if you have one) explore too.
Look for spots where the sun shines perfectly through.
Look for interesting places and wonder about them.
Sit down and take a break. Be a people watcher for a few minutes.
But don't forget to get up and keep going, you still have some more to go before turning around and going home.
Check out other habitats.
Look for things that have fallen down.
And wonder if, when it fell, it made a sound.
Look for something deeper than you.
Take a look at the roots of something. Remember that to solve anything, you have to look for the very beginnings of it, which are sometimes buried.
Find something where you can see your reflection. Criticize how you look all you want, but don't forget to boost your ego too.
Take one last look at the sun before turning around and heading home.
Start your walk home. Pay attention to where your feet are going this time.
Don't cut through and take the short way.
Go around and take the long way this time.
Don't forget to look back every now and then and make sure you didn't miss anything.
Keep your eyes peeled on the ground for any souveniers.
Search for things that don't belong.
Watch for signs of changing seasons, those are always good to look out for.
Like a crabapple tree in the middle of a feild
Contemplate how some things (like this tree branch grown over a telephone wire) happened.
Breathe a sigh of relief to come home.
STEP TWELVE: REWARD
Reward yourself for burning all those calories by gaining them back.
STEP THIRTEEN: GIVE IT SOME CLASS
Pour pop or other non-alcoholic drink into a wine glass. Spike it, if you're feeling on the dangerous side.
CHEERS!
Bottoms up!
STEP FOURTEEN: RECHARGE AND RELAX
Light some scented candles. Make sure you have enough of your drink left...
and take a really long hot bath.
But a shower will work too.
Don't come out until your fingers are pruny.
STEP FIFTEEN: LEARN TO LAUGH
Make strange faces at yourself in the mirror. Do it until you find it really funny.
Next put your hair into one of those towel hats and make provacative/sexy faces in the mirror (or take pictures). Because I think it's funny.
I call this one my Angelina Jolie face.
CONGRADULATIONS! You've now completed your awesomely fabulous day! Now go do your homework you procrastinating bum!
