cause and effect... but what preceeds cause?

As I drove into work this morning I realized that the fundamental nature of time is that it's like a river. If we're all traveling down said river in a constant motion and each decision or indecision we have is a stroke of the paddle or a flail of the arm that hastens us down the river of time. That was very interesting. I mean that sincerely. I like it when you get all philosophical. I remember your posts from a few years ago when you were still believerx, that were long and good but had no paragraph breaks and were hard to read.

One point of contention, if that is even the right word. The Mayans and Aztecs did have disease prevention, but they couldn't anticipate the diseases that brought them down.
