I really dislike going clothes shopping, however, finding that the business type suit that should be in my closet isn't where it should be, I took a trip to the local mens shop tonight

I hear ya only for women, it's the cost of shopping for a really good bra (assuming you're not a c cup or smaller). I just did that recently and while my back and shoulders are thanking me, my wallet certainly is not. Now I also need to go pants shopping on top of that because changes at work recently mean I need to start dressing more upscale and I don't own any real business pants as opposed to the khakis and jeans I've mostly worn up till now. Sigh. Why is it that getting people to take you seriously and give you a raise and a promotion means you've got to dress the part?
OMG tell me about it. I'd be happy to fork over a certain amount of money if I could only find a bra that FITS! As it is, I settle for buying only moderately-expensive bras and altering them myself before I can even wear them.
Have you tried going to Lady Grace in Coolidge Corner and getting measured and fitted? If not, do it. I've been going there since my teens and it's the only place I can go when my body and my size changes and I need good advice on what to wear next. Given that I'm a DD cup, with narrow shoulders, that's saying something.
I went to Lady Grace in Watertown and they didn't have anything in my size (which is something like a 34F, hard to know what size I really am because I don't have any bras that fit). I bought two bras there which I altered so they're wearable, but they're not the most comfortable.
I went to Intimacy in the Pru more recently, and two of the bras I tried on there seemed to fit pretty well. They weren't my style, and beggars can't be choosers, but. You can't really tell in a store whether a bra is going to be comfortable to wear all day, and I declined to spend $88 on something that might or might not wind up fitting. I did take notes, so I ought to see if I can find them cheaper online.
Ok, I will bite. Where did you go? George's in downtown Manchester seems to be pretty popular with my male coworkers; however if $500.00 for a suit jacket is painful, you might not want to go there.
Mens Warehouse in Mall of NH. Actually, George's has some pretty good buys and if I had the time I might have gone there. The last few suit's I've bought were from "Milton's The Men's Store" in South Shore Plaza.
