My day was very good today. I really like my literature classes. There's one girl named Ligea and one named Lenore in the same class!!! But Ligea likes people to call her Lizzy instead, having such a wonderful name ( Read more... )

curious about names, because ive never liked the one i was given
my legal name is yi-hsiuan lee, but i hated the way it looked in english
of course it sounds better in chinese & it looks prettier, too
but that didnt help, growing up in the states
my father named me the ugliest thing he could think of, helen

between what friends i had though, this is a list of my name games:

shien (lee)
charlie (charcharbean/lane)
charlotte (sometimes/lane/never)
amber (bat/darling/lee)
charlet (never)
romeo (star/bat/brat)
aina (ainaglar)

insane, isnt it?
ive always been sure a persons name makes up a bigbig part of their self
though how it works.. is beyond me
i want to take psych next year too :)

Oh, but all those names are nice. Not insane at all.
My friends all call me Alejandra, though I did have a couple of nicknames in high school I didn't really appreciate... But they gave those to everyone.
I'll tell you if you'd like to know, they're just not worth any space on this post.

Sometimes I wish I had an androgynous name... but I really like mine.
I think Shien Lee is really nice, and Yi-hsiuan is beautiful, I just think it gives people a hard time trying to pronounce it...
I think that if you think a name defines you, it really will. On DJ a girl disagreed and replied that names are but a title... and perhaps they are, but they do reflect some kind of impression.
