I saw Children of Men last night and now I keep thinking that it was a bad movie.

The characters weren't developed at all, the plot wasn't developed at all, and there was no resolution. It was a potentially impressive social commentary tucked into a very nice looking action movie. It was a very shallow movie, and could have been so much better than it was. There several scenes that were either completely unnecessary, or way too drawn out, and then there were other scenes that were cut short that could have helped the story.

I give the idea an A, I give the execution an F.

Why does everyone expect every movie to have a nice, clean resolution at the end?

The lack of resolution doesn't bother me that much, and if the rest of the movie had been well-developed, I wouldn't care at all.
