Yes, I believe so. I too agree that the budget was one of the best indicators considering we had a nice surplus and the economy was on the up and up. He was also pretty good at being a mediator and at least attempted diplomacy with and between other countries.

Some people weird me out, my grandma stayed at some B&B and they had a bunch of gravestones out back. She asked the owners what they were for and they said "There's one for each person Clinton had killed"... weird.

I think so, definitely. If I remember correctly, he was at least partially responsible for the times of economic prosperity the nation went through at that time (which pretty much went down the crapshoot when W. came into office) and I think I heard that he was well aware of the upcoming al Qaeda threat and made sure he let the next president know about it.

I don't quite remember, cause I was more concerned with Pokemon than politics back in the '90's, but overall I'd say he was definitely an effective leader.

Let's face it, Charmander kicks ass. And I'd vote for him over Slick Willy any day.
