Sad News from FCB

First: Basti-Fantasti Deisler ends his career--article (in German) from FCB-homepage. Shortly, what he says is that this wasn't a hasty decision, but something that he had considered for a long time. His explanation is that he doesn't trust his knee completely anymore (5 injuries in past years, for those of you who don't know Basti's story), plus, ( Read more... )

Deisler why? ;_;
Okay, of course I can understand him. He has had a lot of bad luck in the past few years. As you said, one injury after another and missing both of the WC's. But I'm just sad to hear him quit. I really like him, he is a great player.

Aand. what is it with everyone going to Juve? Byebye, Brazzo, i'll be missing you. :(
But.. wait, what? What rumours about Torsten going to Juve? That's something I heard for the first time.
I've heard stuff abot Pizza and Miro, but Torsten, no.
for some reason I quite can't see him leaving. He loves Werder so much and after I read how he asked Miro to stay with Werder, I doubt he will be leaving. But of course, they're all rumours. So yeah.

Deisler why? ;_; Yep, I know that feeling. I thought everything was finally looking better for him, after the return to the field before Christmas and training along with others in Dubai and last summer telling that he was sure he would make it back to the starting line-up in FCB and in National team, but I guess not :(. He is/was to me one of the most talented German football players and I, too, liked him a lot, even though he didn't really play that often in the past years ( ... )

And also, that they won't terminate Basti's contract (which he still has until 6/2009), so if he changes he mind at any time, he can always come back to Bayern.

I'm just seeing you had posted about Basti too <3

You know, I'm really liking the FCB for this option. Hoeness always seems a bit arrogant, but the way he (and the club) are trying to help and support Basti makes me notice a human side I had never seen in him.

As for Brazzo... eh. I think you know already that Juve ain't my cup of tea. And wtf at all these BuLi players apparently moving to Italy? If you have to, pick Milan, for fuck's sake. *kidnaps them* ;)

I'm liking Uli at the moment, too. Usually he just annoys the hell out of me, but this was great from him. As has been pretty much everything they have done during these years to support Basti.

And I also think that when he said in an interview during the training camp in Dubai that they would wait and see how things are with Basti before even considering signing Ribery (if Basti were be healthy, they would have absolutely no need for Ribery) it was because of this. I think he was trying to show Basti just how important he was for them and how much they wanted him to stay. So I guess there really is a human side of him, he just doesn't show it too often in public. (I think I read some time ago Scholli's interview where he actually said that Hoeness is very father like towards the players and not like his public image)

True that. His public image is detestable. He looks like he owns everyone and everything, but if Mehmet says that, then it must be true. He has been with the FCB long enough to have a trustworthy opinion about Herr Hoeness.

I had no idea about Ribéry being one of the players the FCB were interested in!

Well there was, and I guess still is, a rumor during the training camp that Bayern is interested in buying Ribery.

But right after that he also said that they really had no need for him if and when Basti stays healthy. But it just might be that now they will get more active, because with Basti and Brazzo and Scholli gone (and especially if they decide to sell Owen to ManU or in summer) they will need good midfielders really badly.

Le sigh. ;_; Basti Fantasti. How I love him. He's such a genius. I really hope he'll come back one day. <3

I already read about Hasan leaving. >.< WTF? Grr. Sorry, this makes me so angry. He's one of my favourites and I really love him and his dorky being.

*snugs hasan and basti*

I love you guys.

*sigs* He is and at least Uli is keeping the door open for him (hope dies last, even if there really isn't that much hope left).

Brazzo is one of my favorites too. He is such a personality. It just won't be the same without him next year...
