Smooch needs bladder surgery to remove those stones.  I hate to put him through it but as it stands, he's at risk of a blockage, and that could be life-threatening.  So the tentative plan is to call on Monday and get an estimate, schedule the surgery, and we pay for half with cash and half with Care Credit.  Thanks to the fundraising I did last

I really hate to put him through such a thing, but the risk of him developing a blockage eats at me, and it's a pretty simple surgery.

From doing my own research into my symptoms, whatever is wrong with me I suspect will be minor, hopefully requiring no intervention. If I let myself seriously consider the (admittedly unlikely) possibility that it's something more serious, I stop being able to function, so. *SHRUGS* Guess we'll find out.

And, yeah, I hear you. My cardiac stuff got worse over the summer and was looking worrisome, but now that I'm not being suffocated by the heat, I've been able to cut back on meds, and the more alarming symptoms have abated.

Hoping for a similarly low-impact process for you!

Thank you. I'm hopeful that we will both come out on the other side better than we went in! I don't want to have to put him through painful surgery, but I would rather do that than lose him to a bladder blockage, which would be much more painful. :/
