I attempted the same drawing with a few less colours and the hope that I could get more of the expression. I think I got less and instead of looking menacing, he looks sad and maybe sick. Ah, well. Practice is good.

Iteration is just as important in art than anything. Repeats strengthen the skills. I like the hair in this one - tastefully transparent I'd say.

Yes, practice is good. I learn from the things that don't work out as much as the ones that do. I won't try landscape for a portrait again!

I agree it's more sad (but with determination in the mouth) than menacing, but I still like it very much!

Oh, you're right! I remember seeing china critters with floral designs. They were fun.

But the heat, (scheduled long in advance) appointments with visiting doctors/nurses, and weird tech problems (my mouse decided to quit working for several hours, day before yesterday -- it's working again now) threw me out of sync.

I love the colourful lines, is is very pleasant and very cheerful.
And your fluffy ball, hahaha, it reminded me of a tribble from Star Trek but it didn´t have eyes nor legs. I feel like petting it, it looks unhappy.:-)

It is trying very hard to be happy (It turned itself into the cheeriest shade of pink it could imagine).
