Speaking of, why do the guards keep chasing me? I haven't done anything! I'm just riding around on my horse, trying to get to Jerusalem, just like every other person that's going to Jerusalem/Damascus/Acre/Masyaf/whatever. WHY CHASE ME??

There are speed limits! Haven't you been seeing all those posted signs? - More seriously, if you wander too close to certain guards, or at a gallop or non-blend speed, they will attack you.

Why is Altair such an ass?

Because he's got a license to kill and has developed an entitlement around that.

Having Fenris and Anders in a party together is sort of awful and amazing; they're at each others' throats all the time. Put a snarker in your party, like Varric or Isabela, and you'll get some more hilarious banters, but with those three you've got now you're more likely to be very tense for most of the game. XD

I tried not walking too closely to the guards . . . and then I rode right into one. He wasn't the one who ended up chasing me, btw.

I suspect that the best party would be made of Merrill, Varric and Isabela. Sadly my character is already a rogue, so I've got no excuse to put Isabela in my party, and I need Merrill for some quests.

Yeah, the mood is indeed very very tense. XD

A friend who has actually played Dragon Age 2 (which I have not) is loudly shoulder surfing, and she states that:

1) You need to drop Anders in exchange for Aveline.
2) Varric should be in your party, regardless if it's for combat or not.
3) Fenris is pure awesome.

:)

If it was up to me, I'd give it to them wrapped in a bow. It's too much trouble, blechs.
