My hidden lesson for the new year was patience and reliance on God. I think yesterday was the first time I ever spent Naw-Rúz by myself. I hope it's the last.

aw. wish you could have been at the Naw Ruz fest in the city. Sometimes, though, I find that the quiet reflection I get in on Holy Days is the best part. Reminds me why I'm taking the day off from work and school, and lets me sift through my emotions that I otherwise might have smothered and left to later explode.

I hope you are feeling a little better Leif! You're much missed, my friend! :)

Hope you're doing better now. It would have been great to have you here for Naw-Ruz at the House of Worship. The choir sang and it was both simple and uplifting. I hope some of the energy from all the beautiful Naw-Ruz observances around the world made it to your room and brought you a little happiness. It's hard to enjoy a holy day (especially one as social as Naw-Ruz) when you feel left out.

Where is the quotation from?

Thanks, Ashley and Michael! :-) I'm glad y'alls had great celebtrations.

Yes, I meant to include that I am much happier now. My lesson was that had I just been patient I would have had a great day today and not been all down on Wednesday.

The quotation is from the Naw-Rúz prayer.

Hi Mae!
I expect to be at Green Acre for the beginning or end of summer. Will I see you? How's life?
