Claudia had been staring out the window-not seeing the scenic view of the cityscape surrounding the harbor- when her fiancé’s enigmatic older brother entered the room with his friend. Out of a sense of obligation and a need for distraction, she had been trying to summon the will to check her email. It didn’t work. The life she had before this ( Read more... )

I wanted you to know that you did a great job because I was very excited with the whump perspective and I believe it was going just wwonderful...but owww noooo when it suddenly finished I was so sad!!!! Can you write the extended version? Hehehe...just asking here. Like I said before, I liked so much I just think I could ask...just in case...well. thank you anyways. It was very realistic and medcally detailed, which I've always loved. Thanks again.

Hi sidhartinas,
Thank you very much for the comment. I am very glad you enjoyed the story. I am not the speediest of writers, the story got longer and longer as I wrote it, and I just run out of time and had to take the shortcut to post it in time. But, I am writing an extended version that I started posting on my FanFiction account (nacimynom) and I will also post on my AOO account. The first 2-3 chapters will be the same and then I'll add some more chapters before the ending scene. Stay tuned.
N.

I loved this fic! I know Sheppard always wanted to make up for lost time he had for his family

I also love how you used the breast cancer angle to explain John's mother's absensence I often use it myself. Great Job!

Actually the breast cancer angle is from Jo Graham's SGA book (Death Game). It fit very well with my story and gave me an in for how Dave and Claudia met. Thank you so much for the feedback.

I can now see why your other story, Specimen, had to take a back seat for a while. So pleased to be able to read a longer story from you, and all in one go! Though you are right, it did feel a bit rushed towards the end. So i am really excited that you are going to write an extended one for fanfiction! So I will post my reviews on there. But I will say that I enjoyed every moment of this truly touching story. Wonderful job!

That was great! I haven't read a lot of stories about John and Dave but I really enjoyed this one. I love the backstory, carefully revealed to show the drive and determination John had and how it went so much deeper than what I initially thought.

Just fabulous writing, thank you! :D
