I'm not usually one to follow memes. In fact, in the small, backwoods West Virginia town where I grew up, I am known as totahatanka shanka, or "he who is not usually one to follow memes." Somewhere in Nigeria, there is a dictator with buckets and buckets of money, unable to spend any of it because I didn't give him access to an American savings ( Read more... )

Nice to see the Lancre witches in there! I didn't expect any non busty, scantily clad entries. GlaDOs is fun too.

Hey, Minda! Where've ya been? It's been ages since I've talked to you!

Haha..alive. I'm living in Texas again, and I'm so settled down, and my life is so boring that I don't bother blogging much.

If this is proof I'm not a geek, I knew who Buffy was (not her last name), but have never seen the show, saw one of the Lara Croft movies, and have heard of Dark Angel, but couldn't have named the character. I knew who played her, though.

I'm gonna add:

- All the ladies of the 'Firefly' cast (Kaylee, Inara Serra, Zoe, and River Tam). They really cover a spectrum of female flavors, and they all have indispensable strengths. One of the things I love about 'Firefly' is that no one character is any more or less awesome than another.

- Starbuck from BSG. I love that she's so deeply religious, despite her stereotypical tomboy-hardhead character.

- Star Trek ladies Ro Laren, Kira Nareese, Kirzon Dax, and... how could I forget the mamma of all mammas... Lwaxana Troi. She may have been comedic at first, but she's such a strong, deep character. She uses her reputation for being eccentric as a distraction to make really good points or put folks in their places, and she's not afraid to show up naked to fluster some diplomats or to take off her wig to make Odo feel better.

*zips lips on the Janeway/Voyager subject* To each Trekkie their own!

Haha, I think I'm the very opposite of a Trekkie actually, since Voyager was the only series I could stomach :)

By the way, now I'm gonna go play BG&E. If they make it for PC?

Yep, PC only. I found it on eBay for $2.99.

The game didn't do very well on the market, but I loved the hell out of it. It's fun to play, the voice acting is great, and the music is phenomenal. It could've been a hit, but it just wasn't marketed very well.

PC only my ass. That game was available for just about every console there was. Some fan you are!

LANCRE WITCHES REPRESENT. I had a hard time choosing between Pratchett characters for my meme, but I eventually decided on Susan. No less love for Nanny Ogg and Granny Weatherwax, though.
