Starting off with a compliment is a great way to get a girl to stop whatever she's doing and pay attention to you. The glasses remark below me there is a good one, or you could've complimented her hair or her shirt/teeshirt, or asked about her laptop and asked where she got it 'cause you're thinking of getting a new one and are looking for a deal. Little white lies are okay.

But yeah, don't come on too strong 'cause then chicks get scared you're some rapist kidnapper, especially if there's no one else around.

Or the glasses remark above me, rather. Stupid LJ.

Really? Girls don't find that cheesy?

I tend to immediately disregard all compliments, but I will readily jump in to show off how much I know when given the opportunity. I find that the best approach for hitting on women is asking something in their knowledge base - asking about the laptop would have worked on me.

See. I'm doing it now! Hahaha...just let girls show off. They love it.

"Hey, nice glasses/shirt/laptop/book/jacket/etc."

Always works. :)

Hrm. Maybe I'm overthinking this...

Ah, well. Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!
