As for Ianto's mum, she's harsh, but she's trying to understand...which she can't because she's his mum and mums never understand.
And I'm so glad people like Dylan! Really, it's a joy writing him because he's so adorable in my mind! Awww yeah I guess that bit came from when my brother was in too. That was a long time ago though...never really thought about it...and I know. I just want Dylan to be better. :P Him and Cerys. But alas, angst follows Jack and Ianto...

Sorry it took me so long to comment. Life got away from me for a bit. Great chapter. I'm finding myself more and more drawn into the story. I can really feel Ianto's exhaustion and worry. I'm so glad Jack has arranged for him to escape all that - even if just for one night.

You know, the only critique I can think of is that the chapters are too short! :-) sorry, I was spoiled by a couple of epics... No, really, I am a bit worried about the potential angst around leukemia and whatever is wrong with Cerys (how is that name pronounced, anyway?). Hospital scenes spook me a bit, bad memories with my grandmother and my little cousine, but I'm hoping it will turn out ok in the end, even if the middle is sad, as you keep warning.

I keep liking this very much, thank you for the beautiful chapters so far!
