X-men Origins: Wolverine movie

Ok, so I saw it after all.

What can I say? The effects are really cool; you couldn't help but love it.
It was wonderful to see so many mutants. The relationship between Logan and Creed was great. However, Gambit stole the show for me. He was amazing. I am hoping for an X-men Origins: Gambit movie now!

Scott was in it but very - very - briefly. He was ok in the scenes he was in though his background and who he really is was never mentioned. Lots of fanfic potential right there. Oh, and he has some good scenes with Emma; just from those few seconds I would much rather see him with her in the movieverse than Jean (but then it's no secret I am not fond of movie Jean at all)!

Of course at the end of the movie when Logan loses his memory I felt like screaming because he had just befriended Gambit and the Logan in this movie is in general much more likeable to me than the way he was introduced in X1. However, how he could recall so little in X1 makes no sense as Gambit should be able to provide a little more than just his name to him.

Wierd as it may sound; the final battle scene felt to me much more like a true X-men scene than anything we have seen in the other X-men movies; despite the fact there is no X-men team at that time.

Also, timeline goes right out the window here not only in regard to the comics but also in regard to the later 3 movies. But then to be able to enjoy these comics to movie things I assume one has to be flexible on many points. Seen isolated (ignoring the other 3 X-men movies and as per usual in comics to the big screen ignoring the comics unless you find something in the movie which - wonder - does actually relate to them; then feel happy) it worked well. It does not try to be more than it is; just a cool movie to pass the time. It wasn't as dominated by Wolverine worshipping as I had feared (as mentioned I really liked Logan in this one) and it moved along fairly ok. (the lines about Logan feeling 'more pain than ever before' or something like that was a little over the top when repeated several times before his operation but never mind).

I would certainly buy this one on DVD to forward to the Gambit scenes, Scott scenes, the cool fighting scenes at the beginning (Logan, Creed, Deathpool coming out of the elevator - I loved Deathpool! etc.) and for the whole final battle scene (Logan in the helicopter and on the island, the other mutants etc.).

So, that was my pov of the movie. :)
