"The time has come," the walrus said.

"For Letterstories to begin!"

(Well, he didn't say exactly that. Instead he might have said something about it being a time to speak of "shoes and ships and sealing wax". But I like talking about letterstories better. Erm, sorry Mr Walrus and sorry Mr Lewis Carroll!)

Yes, the time has arrived. I am calling all interested authors to put up their hands ( Read more... )

You WILL write for letterstories, you son of a motherless goat! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries! Go away or I shall taunt you a second time!

Err, I mean, don't go away--stay. Stay and write for letterstories and be merry! Or, then, I shall taunt you a second time. Or maybe I'm up to third time by now.

:D

Eeeeexcellent!

(I had to turn to the masters! Even though I grew up with many siblings, most of them wonderfully annoying, I seem to have lost my powers of insult. It's really sad.)

Alas, I am no longer "somewhat" busy, but
"damn" busy. Depresses me. You know how excited I was about this letterstories thing!

Now that school's started and whatnot, I'm gonna have to count myself out for this round. :( Do let me know when a new round starts up, and maybe I'll be able to participate then!!!

:)

No problem. Being a part of Letterstories is supposed to add to your life, not make you wish you had a second one running simultaneouly just so you can fit everything in!

I'll let you know when the next one comes up. :D

And good luck with your psych studies! Remember, it all comes down to rats and stats.

How did I live this life without letterstories?

I'm so very nervous about this. The first letterstory has put the bar pretty high, Renae; how do I come even close?

Anyways, just let me know how things are going, and when I should start writing.

Don't be nervous! We all were (okay, just me) and it turned out just fine. :D

It gets better after the first entry you post, I swear. Suddenly, the game becomes fun and you're no longer petrified of being so poorly matched with the other writers and expecting them to storm out of the game in horror at your writing. (Besides, I've read your writing, Elfie, and you're a fantastic writer!)

Anyway, the way I know see letterstories is like this: it's hard to create something bad when I've got two to three other awesome writers their to fix up my mistakes, fill my plot holes and take my dodgy plot-twists into something spectacular. (They make my writing look better!)

The game is really supportive though. People have to be positive and constructive in their feedback--it's in the rules! Letterstories is not about shooting people down, but trying to help each other out, stretching our writing muscles and creating an awesome story.

Wish I could play, but I've got all these real-life friends now, and highly limited internet access. I can't wait to see what people cook up, though!

I see. So this is how it goes? Well then. Real life friends over fake ones. So that's how things stand. Suit yourself. (*grin*)

Actually, I'm just totally stoked to hear from you! How's it all going? The little kiddies? Providing them with inspirational leadership? Found some good work colleagues?

I hope you've having a blast (and possibly cooking up future story ideas while in the midst of this blast).

No probs about not joining in on letterstories. I certainly didn't expect you would. It would be fabulous if you could read them--internet permitting. Catch ya soon!

I am having a blast. I've had a couple of great groups of kids (and a few I wanted to throw off a cliff, though, sadly, we have none available). I got to do some rust-dyeing with one group, and some team-building with the others... I also fed them poisonous plants (among edible ones) and constantly yell at them not to destroy every plant that innocently stands in their way ( ... )

Nae, Nae, you brighten up my day!

Of course I'll join! Sorry for the late reply, however.

Ooh, this is going to be so much fun :D

Yay!

Well, that's all our authors then. And TWO stories it is!

(I'm so excited that it's EMBARASSING.)
