If I'm not too busy, I might join the '09 team. Provided I come up with a somewhat usable storyline by then, of course...
But I wanted to say I know how you feel. I "dreamwrite" all the time. What kicks me in the butt is that I never remember to put a pen and a pad of paper next to my bed so I can write down what I've got in my head. It always sounds so lovely to me, but instead of writing it down right away, I make a mental note to myself. And then guess what? When I get around to writing it down- the words are lost! You'd think I'd learn my lesson by now but I guess I don't learn my lessons, haha.

Essentially, if you've no use for a character, plot, etc etc, anymore, you can give them up for adoption and watch them go to a lovely new home! There is also a "story starters" (the first few lines of a story) thread where people post whatever story prompts they can come up with and, yes, they're all up for grabs too. :D
(Of course, the NaNo site has been inundated with people trying to get on that, well, no one can. So I'd recommend checking these forums out at least a few days before the first of November. Otherwise, when the clock ticks over to 1st Nov, you could be sitting, staring at a blank page for much longer than you'd hoped. :) )
