Do any of you, my internet peeps, currently play Eve Online? I'm a little less than half-way though a 14 day trial.... and while the jury is still out on it, I'm enjoying myself. Like all mmorpgs though, I'd enjoy it more if I knew anyone involved... so gimme a shout if you play.

I can shoot you some of the spreadsheets I update at work every day. I'll pay you in hi-res sci-fi wallpapers. In my understanding, this is the same experience and cheaper.

In all seriousness, EVE looks like exactly the sort of MMORPG experience I'd like. Were it not for the terrifying volume of numbers to micromanage, and my precious free time, I'd be willing to try it.

There's something terribly zen about the game-play. I'd never have the personal discipline to do all the spread-sheeting people talk about, and I don't feel bad about that. Hopefully though, I'll find a niche where I can enjoy myself, and perhaps leave the spreadsheeting to a higher-up in a corp.
