It's days like today that I'm reminded of why I need to get out of this country.
The air conditioning has been going non-stop since I woke up this morning. I can't stand this heat! :(

99 take Nakai all over Japan on a "health holiday". Obviously, being 99, they make Nakai work for his food... hard.
Well, to be honest, it wasn't that hard. I've seen 99 and things could have been much worse. Here's a pic of Nakai enjoying his... erm... vegetables. Tee hee. :)
Anyway, this is what really caught my eye:
Japanese curry made entirely from milk, not one drop of water! Whoa! I'm trying to imagine what it would taste like. Creamy? Sweet? Like normal curry? The first part of the SP was filmed in Hokkaido at a dairy farm so only freshly squeezed (is that the right term?) milk was used. I wonder if bottled milk would spoil the flavour? There's got to be a recipe up on the net somewhere... oh, but it's too hot to eat curry right now! Is there going to be a cool change in the next couple of days? Next week? What kind of curry powder should I use? And are those... sausages in the mix? What kind of sausages? Let's go to Hokkaido! Let's go to Hokkaido! There has to be some 2 or 3-day "eat around Hokkaido" tour that we can join from Tokyo! Who wants to come with me?
I'm so worked up about this milk curry now. I will have to make it in the next couple of days. I don't care if it's still boiling, I will use the portable stove and make it in the living room inside the air conditioning! That's it! Tomorrow I will go out for supplies! Yosh! Curry, wait for me!

Another 3 weeks until I fly out! I am so excited. I almost can't believe it's actually happening. What started off as a casual suggestion over uni one day has turned into a real trip! I will have to brush up on my Japanese before I leave. If I don't get arrested I should be able to get by with what little of the language I already command. (Note to self: Must refrain from stealing stickers of Kimura off vending machines.) I also can't believe I'm going to see Endless Shock, with dear Toma and Koichi. Toma! Watching him in HYD reminded of just how big a crush I used to have on that guy. And now with Shock, I really hope that 2007 can be his year. That boy is so talented, I really don't know what Johnny-san was thinking when he went with Yamapi instead of him. Oh well, as long as he's been able to do what makes him happy. Am a little sad that I won't be seeing Tsubasa this year, but if I had to pick, I probably would have picked Toma anyway. I'm sorry to say, but Tackey and Tsubasa really need to focus and work on T&T this year... or it's going to be the end of them. I also promise to pay more attention to Arashi this year. Aiba, I'm sorry! Maggie! Anyone! Please flood me with your Arashi gushing!
