I am really glad I went this year, with Toma being cast. I've watched the DVD many times, but nothing can beat watching it live. You miss all the tiny gestures, which don't necessarily make the musical any better, but make being there all the more precious and worthwhile. That said, I really hope they make a DVD out of this year's production because I felt it was a really strong run. I hope for everyone's sake that there will be Shock next year, but I really can't imagine how they could possibly improve on everything they've done this year... unless they give Tsuyoshi a guest appearance! :)
glad you had lots of fun. I love to read reports since they are personal and really more interesting then any books about japan^___^
My sis is going there too this weekend. Glad that we are only two persons, since im really fed up to travel with more then 3 persons. Everyone has such a different taste, i would rather travel alone.
I have 2 breaks: Tuesday 10-11 and 1-2 I have a full 6hr day on Thursdays! No breaks! I can meet you this Tuesday at 11 since tuts don't start till wk 2.
Noooooooooooo!!! That means I won't be able to see you at all this semester! Okay, when do you finish? I finish at 2 on Tuesdays and 3 on Wednesdays. Maybe we can meet up afterwards.
I actually don't have to get to uni until 1 this Tuesday, but let's meet up anyway. I'll use the time to go and visit the SIO. What time shall we say?
Welcome back~ I'm glad that you had so much fun...ah...now I even want to see SHOCK more. ^^; I'm sorry about your misadventures... That guy should have given you half of his darn matcha donut for all your trouble. Half!
No, no, not to worry. Misadventures often leave the fondest memories. :) I really wanted to tell the guy it was my last night in Japan and I'd come all the way from Australia and beg him for his donut but I couldn't bring myself to doing it. I think he would have given it to me, but it would have been so awkward! Hopefully the donut sells well and they decide to make it an option on their regular menu!
And yes, Shock! I have to admit that Toma did a very good job stealing the show for me. Now I really hope there will be Shock again next year and Toma reprises his role! Everyone must see his version of Shock!
