We've just met and I'm not sure if I have the right to comment on this personal post, but I am really excited for you. You sound so focused and seem to have such a passion for law. I have no idea what I want to do with my life yet (and consequently, feel frightened that I have no future) and have no passion in terms of a career.

I'm really envious of you, and I wish you the best of luck. :D

And don't worry. If you can read the post, you have every right to comment. And if you can read the post, it's because I wanted you to.

I'm very lucky to have known from a young age exactly what I want to be when I grow up. I've had my fair share of entertaining other options, but law was the one thing I always came back to. But I guess you're also taking a gamble when set your mind to one thing and one thing only - what happens if it turns out to be nothing like what you'd imagined and you hate it? What happens then? I am even more fortunate in that even though law has turned out to be completely different from my thoughts as a 10-year-old, I still love it all the same, perhaps even more. But it has taken me 11 years to figure that out. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't be discouraged that you're still not sure what you want to do. It's the perfect opportunity to go out there and experience and expose yourself to all the possibilities. There will be one that strikes you and sticks ( ... )

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it. I'm starting my first year of college, and already I feel so out of it, so clueless. I know that I still have time and that it's okay that I don't know right now, but just the thought of not knowing sort of bothers me.

Really, thanks for the encouragement. I'll definitely do my best.

And a writer? My parents would flip out (maybe that's why I should do it haha).

Thats LOVE. You LOVE Law!!

Actually Law IS lovable but I'm less than thrilled with the judicial system here which made me averse to pupillages. You're uber lucky to love what you do. I've been doing some soul searching with another colleague on loving what we do. Its so hard to find passion and niche!.
