When they were finished eating, they got up and headed to the outside deck. All of them walked to the railing and looked out into the sea.
"Oh wow, it's sooo pretty!" Amy said.
Rouge looked down at the waves. "We're in the middle of nowhere... if we ever sink, no one will know unless the radio crew signals or something!" Knuckles glared at her and then gestured toward Tails with his head. The vampire bat looked at him confused. Then she looked towards Tails who was sitting on the floor, his legs pulled up to his chest and his back facing the ocean. Miles was rocking back and forth slowly, his eyes widened.
"Um... oops...."
"We're.... we're... gonna sink... we're gonna sink... we're gonna die... die here.... die here in the middle of nowhere... the... middle of.... NOWHERE......"
Everyone stared at Tails. "O_o"
Sonic jumped in front of Tails and posed. "WE WILL NOT DIE! LISTEN TO MAH WORDS OF WISDOM!"
"Are you STUPID?!" Tails got up and grabbed Sonic by the shoulders. He started shaking him madly. "OF COURSE WE'RE GONNA DIE!!!! DIDN'T YOU HEAR ROUGE?!? SHE SAID WE'RE GOING TO SINK!! AND WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!! NO ONE WILL KNOW!!" he let go of Sonic. "No one will know... will.... know...." He sat back down and began to rock back and forth, sucking on his thumb.
"O__________O;;;;;;;"
"We better get going... I think the cruise has got to him already." Amy commented. They started to walk away, but Tails was still on the floor. Eggman came and picked him up, throwing him over his shoulder. Tails started beating on his back.
"LEMME GO!! LEMME GOOO!! NO!! YOU CAN'T FORCE ME TO GO ON THIS CRUISE!! NOOO!!! NOOO!!!"
"Oh, SHADDAP!!" Eggman yelled. "You're already on the cruise!" He continued to carry Tails inside. The orange fox slipped out of his grasp and jumped on the rail. Everyone stared at him, eyes widened.
"TAILS!! Buddy, don't do it!!!" Sonic cried.
"I'll do it!!!"
"WHY are you doing it?!"
"Cuz we're gonna die anyway!!!"
Shadow advanced on Tails slowly. "Whoa, calm down..."
"NO!!" Suddenly, Tails jumped off the railing. Everyone ran to the rail and looked down at Tails. He was almost to the ocean when the Cyclone appeared out of nowhere and caught him before he fell into his icy DEATH. (Shad: Why'd you capitalize "death"?) I dunno!
"Tails!!" everyone screamed.
"MUAHAHAHA!!!!" the two-tailed fox laughed. "I'M GONNA GO AWAY NOW!! EEEEHEEHEE!! AWAY FROM THIS CRUISE!!! AWAY FROM MY ICY DEATH!! MUAHAHAHAAHAHHAHA!!!!!" he and the Cyclone flew away.
"...."
"... What just happened?" Tikal asked.
"I... don't... know...." Eggman said.
"Tails just flew away! Can you believe that?" Sonic said. "Oh great, now what?"
"I'll go after him!" volunteered Eggman.
Sonic shook his head. "Nah, if he doesn't wanna go on this cruise, then he won't. You have NO idea how stubborn he really is."
Shadow smirked at the blue hedgehog. "As stubborn as you?"
"Yeah, (shoves Shadow) as stubborn as me."
"How is that possible?"
"I... don't... know...."
"O_o YEAH!! I'M THE MORON!! WOO HOO!"
"YES YOU ARE!" Everyone points at Shadow, throw their heads back and laugh insanely. Shadow sweatdrops.
"Let's just go now..."
"OKAY!"
Again, everyone walked back indoors, missing one of their comrades. "Where should we go next?" they all said at the same time.
"The bingo room!" Sonic suggested. Everyone stared at him. "What?"
"Um, we'll do that laaater... how about the tennis court?" Knuckles said.
"YAY!!" they all ran to the tennis court and to the main desk. Knuckles pushed Sonic out of the way. "Hello, (looks at the guy's ID card on his shirt) Nick! We're here to play tennis!"
A hedgehog with golden fur, a sword strapped to his back and shoes that turn into a hover-board sat behind the desk. He had on headphones EXTREMELY loud looked up from his gaming magazine. "Eh, what?"
"We're here to play tennis!" Knuckles repeated.
"Wha?"
"TENNIS!!"
"WHA?!"
"TENNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS!!!!!"
"SPEAK LOUDER, I CAN'T HEAR YA!!"
Knuckles lifted the earphones off of him and yelled into his ear, "TENNIS, YOU IDIOT!!!!"
"Yeah! Idiot!" Amy said, whacking Nick with her Piko Piko Hammer.
"Ooooooh! Why didn't ya say so?" he asked. They all sweatdropped.
"How many courts do ya got?" Rouge asked. Nick looked towards Rouge and stared at her with his mouth open. Rouge's eyes narrowed and she growled threateningly, whipping out a huge flower pot. O_o; Nick kept staring. Knuckles socked him in the face.
"That's MY girl you're staring at!!!" he growled.
"Oh!! Sorry dude. Okay, what do ya want?"
"WE WANT TO PLAY TENNIS, DARN IT!!" shouted Eggman, fed up with the delay.
"You didn't answer my question!" Rouge said, raising her flower pot so she could whack him if he stared at her again.
"We got 20 courts!"
"HOLY CRAP!"
"That's a lot!" Tikal replied.
"Well, yeah. We have a lot of passengers." Said Nick.
"All right, how much per hour?" Dr. Robotnik asked.
"A dollar."
"Really?!"
"Yeah!"
"Cool!!"
"Eggman said 'cool'!" Shad said.
Dr. Eggman glared at Shadow. "SO?!"
"Nothing, sir!"
"Okay, so do you want to play or not?" Nick said.
"We want to play!"
"That's all right with me."
"^_^"
"But..."
"Oh no, there's a 'but'..."
"WHERE?!" Sonic said, looking around. The girls slapped him. "Oww..."
"You have to wear clothes."
"WHAT?!" Sonic, Shadow, and Knuckles screamed.
"Yep. You don't have clothes on except for those 3 girls and that huge man over there."
"Why do we have to wear clothes?! It's not like we're showing anything private!" Shadow said.
Nick pointed at a sign in the window. "Read that."
Knuckles read the sign out loud. "'THOU CANNOT PLAY TENNIS IF THOU DOST NOT HAVE GARMENTS ON THY SELVES.' O_o;; So that means we'll have to go ALL the way back up to our rooms and put on some clothes?"
"Uh huh."
"DARN!!" the three boys said. They ran to the elevator and went up to their rooms to put on some clothes.
"... Yeah, I knew that clothes would be a problem for them." Rouge said.
"Oh yeah, and by the way, are you gonna play tennis in that?" Nick asked, pointing at Rouge's regular outfit.
"Well, yeah."
"I think that you'd play better if you changed into something more comfortable."
"I don't have to listen to you!"
"All right..."
"You know what, I think I'm going to change clothes..." Tikal said, looking at her own outfit.
Amy nodded. "Yeah, me too. C'mon, let's go before the guys get here." She and Tikal ran to another elevator and went up to their rooms.
"Hmph, I'm staying in my outfit! There's nothing wrong with it!" Rouge said.
"I'm gonna change too." Eggman ran up the stairs to his room. o_o;
"Wha? So everyone's changing except me? Oh fine, they can do whatever they want!" Rouge sat down on a couch and waited for them.
10 minutes later....
The elevator opened, and the Sonic Crew, except Rouge and Eggman, tried to get out at the same time. They all fell over and Shadow was at the bottom.
"ACK!! CAN'T.... BREATHE..."
"Sorrysorrysorrysorry!!" they apologized to the hedgehog before getting off.
"Whew!! Air!!"
"This is a very strange sight..." Rouge said.
Knuckles tilted his head. "Why is that?"
"Because YOU BOYS ARE WEARING CLOTHES! ACTUAL CLOTHES!"
"^_______^"
Sonic was wearing baggy, beige, cargo shorts with a loose, white t-shirt on. He's still wearing his soaps shoes. He had sunglasses laying on top of his head, and a pack of gum was in his left pocket. He looked coooool. ^_^;;;
Shadow was wearing black, baggy cargo shorts with a red, loose shirt, and he was wearing normal shoes that looked a bit similar to Sonic's. He still had his bracelets on and on his left wrist was a sports watch. Of course, he still had on the necklace he found in chapter 3. He looked cool too.
Knuckles was wearing an orange, loose shirt and had on a pair of dark blue baggy cargo pants. He had all his upgrades (you know, air necklace, sunglasses, etc.) on except his Hammer Gloves.
Tikal was wearing a white mini-skirt, the ones meant for tennis, a sleeveless green shirt with a collar, and was wearing tennis shoes.
Amy had on a pink mini skirt, a reddish-pink shirt sleeveless shirt and red tennis shoes. She still had on her headband.
"You guys look... well, different!"
"Yeah, we do..." Sonic said.
Eggman ran down the stairs and up to the crew with gray shorts and a white polo shirt on. He was wearing tennis shoes too. He stopped in front of them, puffing madly.
"O_o Why'd you use the stairs, Egghead?" Tikal asked.
"I don't (puff) know... but I (puff) think (puff) that I lost (puff) 5 POUNDS!!!" everyone fell over.
Sonic spoke. "I think not!"
"Well, BLAH to you."
"All right, here are your tennis rackets." Nick said as he threw 7 rackets at them. Everyone caught theirs' except Shadow, who missed by a foot. He picked it up.
"Okay, take courts number 2, 3, and 4!"
(There! That's NICKMASTEROFTHEZSWORD's cameo. And I'm sorry if I made you kind of OOC. ^_^;; At least you have a scene in this story! Continuing...)
"YAY!!" they all ran outside and went to their courts. Shadow and Knuckles took #2, Sonic and Amy took #3, Rouge and Tikal took #4, and Eggman waited for his turn on the side.
Court 2- Shadow VS Knuckles
Court 3- Sonic VS Amy
Court 4- Rouge VS Tikal
Okay look, when it says this next to a court number: "HATSTATLC", that means "Happening At The Same Time As The Last Court." If there's nothing next to the court number, then that's a new time period. Do you get it? No? ... Eh...
Court 2-
"All right, Shadow! Ready to be beaten?!" Knuckles said excitedly, throwing the tennis ball up and down.
"Hold on, hold on!" Shadow reached into his pocket.
"Hold on to what?"
"Your shorts!"
"Okay!" Knuckles held on to his shorts. O_o;
Shadow took out his glasses and put them on. He looked cool with glasses on... it made him look smart. ^_^;;; It also makes him look like a business man or something! Anyway, Shadow shouted back to Knuckles. "I'm ready!"
Knuckles grinned. "I'm holding on to my shorts!"
Court 3 HATSTATLC (that means that the following event was happening at the same time as the last event, get it?)-
"Amy!! We're supposed to play TENNIS!! Not SQUEEZE THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF SONIC!!!" cried the blue hedgehog, trying to pry Amy off him.
"But Sonikku, it's so nice to hold you!"
"Um, WELL, TO ME, IT HURTS LIKE HECK!!!"
"Heck hurts?"
"How am I supposed to know?"
"I dunno, but you're so kawaiii!!" Amy continued squeezing Sonic.
"LEMME GO!! LEMME GO!!" he looks at court number 2 and sees Shadow reaching into his pocket. He looks towards Knuckles who is holding on to his shorts. "O_o;; What is Knuckles doing?"
Amy also looked. "I dunno! But I love you, Sonic!"
"Um, you're okay too! Now just let go of me and play tennis!!"
The pink hedgehog thought about it. "Nah, it's nicer to hug ya!"
Sonic sighed and started thinking. 'Argh! What can I do to make her let go of me? Oh! I know! That will definitely work! But wait.... I'll have to do it sometime.... oh man, I'm going to regret this, but this is the only way to make her let go...'
The heroic hedgehog hesitated before speaking. "Amy... if you let go of me... I'll... I'll give ya a kiss..."
Amy squealed and let go of Sonic, enabling him to once again breathe. "REALLY?! REALLY?!?! OH MY GOD!! OHMYGOOOOSH!! SONIKKU'S GONNA KISS ME!!! EEEKKKK!!!"
"I'll only do it if you play tennis and don't hug me for the rest of this cruise!!"
"EEEEEEEKKKK!! YAY!!" Amy jumped over the net and ran over to the other side of the court. "Okay! Let's play tennis!!"
"Phew! All right, you serve!" Sonic threw Amy the ball and she caught it.
The pink hedgehog smiled. "Sure!"
Court 4 HATSTATLC (that means that the following event was happening at the same time as the last event, get it?)-
"Who serves the ball?" Rouge asked.
"I'll do it!" Tikal said. Rouge tossed her the ball. "Rouge, are you ready?!"
"Yep!"
"Okay, brace yourself!" Tikal served the ball just as good as a professional and Rouge returned the ball with a backhand hit (or something like that).
They continued playing professionally.
1 minute later...
Rouge was about to return the ball when she tripped over her own feet. "Ahh!!" she said as she fell to the floor.
Tikal ran over. "Whoa, are you okay?"
"Oww... stupid boots..."
Tikal smirked. "Heh, you should've listened to Nick over there."
"No I didn't! I can still play! I just tripped once. That doesn't mean I'll trip again..."
Rouge stood up and grabbed the ball.
Court 2- (When there's nothing next to a court number, then the following event is a new time period.)
"-_-; You can let go now...."
"Yay!" Knuckles lets go of his shorts and grabs hold of his tennis racket in his right hand and the ball in his left. "Ready?"
"Yeah!"
"Are you sure?!"
"YEAH!"
"Are you REALLY sure?!"
"YEEAAH!!!"
"Are you ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, REALLY, REALLY-"
"YEAH, I'M SURE!!! SERVE THE DARN BALL ALREADY!"
"OKAY!!" Knuckles threw the ball high into the air. Shadow got ready. As the ball came down, Knuckles swung his racket. He missed by an inch and the tennis ball fell on his head. "OWWWW!!!!"
Shadow, on the other side of the tennis court, fell over. "SHEESH!! YOU CAN'T EVEN SERVE?!"
"Uhm, uh, that was just practice! Yeah! Practice, that's all!"
Shad sweatdropped. "Try again!"
"All right!" Again, Knuckles threw the ball into the air. He missed by an inch. Apparently, he swung too hard and fell over, face flat.
Shadow fell over. "JEEBUS CHRIST!"
"Owie... here!! You serve it!" the red echidna threw the ball towards Shadow and he caught it.
"Get ready! Hi-yaaa!!" Shadow threw the ball into the air and made a perfect serve. Knuckles wasn't really paying attention and the ball hit him in the face, knocking him out.
"O________O Uh oh." Shadow leaped over the net and to Knuckles. He bent down and started shaking him. "Dude!! Wake up!! Are you dead? Holy crap!!"
Court 3 HATSTATLC-
"Sonikku, get ready! HA!" Amy served the ball and when her racket hit the tennis ball, pink hearts flew out. o_O;; It was just like Peach's serve in Mario Tennis!
Sonic returned the ball with a hit, and when the ball came bouncing back to Amy, she swung and missed by two feet. The tennis ball rolled to the back of the court.
"o________o;; Amy!! Are you like, duling?!"
"I am not drooling!!"
"I said DULING!!"
"I ain't dueling either!!"
"DULING, DARN IT!! DUUULIIINNNNGGG!!!"
"Oh! Duling?"
"Yah!!"
"What does that mean?" Amy asked.
"It's in tagalog! L-Gurl's language! That means that you can't really see that well! How can you miss by two feet?!"
"I dunno..." Sonic fell over. "Hold on, Sonikku, why did you say duling? Couldn't you say it in ENGLISH so I can understand?"
"I said it in tagalog because I don't know how to say it in english!"
"Wait, you can speak tagalog?"
"A little bit..."
Tikal from the other court shouted over to them. "Hey!! What are you doing? You're supposed to play tennis!"
"Oh well, sooorry!!" Sonic yelled back.
"It's OKAY!!"
The blue hedgehog sweatdropped. "^_^;; Here, lemme serve it." Amy threw the ball to him and they continued to play tennis.
Court 4 HATSTATLC-
Rouge threw the ball above her head and served. "Yah!"
Tikal returned the ball and when Rouge was about to hit the ball, she tripped again.
"Oww!! Dang boots!!!"
"TOLD YA!" Tikal yelled from the other side.
"GRR!!" Rouge got up and served the ball again. Tikal returned AGAIN, and when Rouge was about to backhand hit it, she fell over... AGAIN.
"Darn Rouge, just go change!"
"Oh fine!!" the vampire bat gets up and stomps off the court. The orange echidna sits down on a nearby bench. She watches Sonic and Amy who are currently talking.
She shouted over to them. "Hey!! What are you doing? You're supposed to play tennis!"
Sonic looked in her direction. "Oh well, sooorry!"
"It's OKAY!!"
"^_^;;;"
"I'll just have to wait here until Rouge comes back... I know! I'll go watch Shadow and Knuckles." the spirit got up and walked towards court 2.
Court 2-
"Knuckles!! Knuckles!! Dude, wake up!!!" Shadow yelled in front of Knuckles's face. He saw Tikal walking towards them. "Tikal!! Tikal!! Come here!"
Tikal ran over and sees Knuckles on the floor. She kneeled down and faced the hedgehog. "Shad, what happened?!"
"Um... I knocked him out with a tennis ball."
"o.o;;"
"Accidentally, of course!!"
"All right, what do you want me to do about it?"
Eggman came running to them. "I can help!"
Shadow raised an eyebrow. "How?"
"I studied being a doctor when I was in college! I can restore him back to conciousness in NO time."
"Great!" Tikal said, "Well, what are you waiting for?"
"Uuuuhhhhmmm...."
"O_O;;"
"Okay, step back!" Shadow and Tikal stepped away. Eggman took out a red suitcase from absolutely nowhere and opened it, revealing a whole bunch of food.
"O_o; How's that gonna restore Knuckles?!" Tikal asked.
Eggman took a chocolate donut from the suitcase. "Watch." He waved it around Knuckles nose. The red echidna bolted up and started chewing the donut like a wild animal, which he kinda is!
"o.O;;" Shad, Tikal and stared at Knuckles. When he was finished gobbling up the donut, he had chocolate smeared all over his mouth area. He looked towards the three people staring at him.
"What?"
"You're so weird..."
"Everyone is at one point." they fell over.
Tikal looked over and saw Rouge coming out of an elevator wearing a purple mini-skirt, a lilac tank top, and tennis shoes.
"Hey Rouge!" Tikal yelled. "Ready to play tennis?"
"You betcha'!"
They walked back over to court 4 and started playing.
Court 3 HATSTATLC-
Amy hit the ball back over the net. Sonic missed the ball and fell over.
"^_^;; Sonikku, you're so cute when you don't hit the ball and fall over!"
"-___-;;; (gets back up) Well... umm... nevermind!!"
"Sonikku, you're so cute when you glare at me!"
"-_-;;;"
"Sonikku, you're so cute when you sweatdrop!!"
"GRR!!!"
"Sonikku, you're so cute when you growl-"
"AMY, SHUT UP!!!!"
"o_O;; ........................."
"-_-"
"Sonikku, you're so cute when you tell me to shut up!"
Sonic fell over. "AHH JEEZ!! Let's play tennis for Maria's sake!"
"MARIAAAAAAA!!!" Shad said from the other court.
"Oy jeebus... (slaps forehead)" muttered Sonic.
Everyone played for another hour and realized that it was already 5pm when they finished. Of course, Eggman got his turn to play too, but he soon got tired in a matter of 2 minutes. ^_^;; So, they turned in their rackets and tennis balls and payed their fee. The Sonic Crew exited the tennis court and went to their meeting place on deck 5.
"Phew! That was a good workout." Sonic said.
Eggman was puffing hard. "I'm... soo tired...."
"You just played for about 15 minutes... we played for more than an hour!" Knuckles stated.
"And you got knocked out! XD" said Shadow.
"That was your fault!!"
"Me?"
"Yeah! You served it too hard and it knocked me out!"
"You weren't paying attention!"
"Yeah I was!"
"No you weren't!"
"Yeah I was!"
"No you weren't!"
"YEAH I WAS!!"
"NO YOU WEREN'T!!"
"OH SHADDAAAP!!!" Alastair screamed again, appearing out of nowhere. Twirling his cane, he spoke, "You're disturbing the PEACE again!! Shush!!"
"Yessir!!" Knuckles and Shadow said.
Alastair dissapeared in a puff of red smoke.
Everyone raised an eyebrow. "O__O I have a feeling he's not a regular cruise director." Sonic said.
"Yeah..." everyone agreed.
"Okay, so now what do we do?" Tikal asked.
The blue hedgehog looked at his watch. "It's 5:30pm. Should we get to dinner already?"
"FOODFOODFOODFOODFOODFOODFOOD!!!!" squealed Eggman, jumping up and boogie-ing. Everyone sweatdropped.
"There's our answer!"
"Wait, what's tonight's dress?" Amy asked.
Rouge took out the Princess Patter, the daily newspaper for the cruise. She looked in the top right corner. It said: Tonight's Dress-Smart Casual
"Smart Casual? What's that supposed to mean?" she asked her friends.
They all stared blankly at eachother. Suddenly, something that sounded similar to a crash was heard outside. The Sonic Crew got up and ran to the railing outside. They saw Tails sitting in his Cyclone, wearing a lot of clothes.
"TAILS!!" everyone yelled.
"Tails, buddy!! You came back!!" Sonic said, running up to the Cyclone and up to the kitsune.
"I-it's s-s-s-s-so f-friggin' c-c-c-cold out in the o-o-ocean...." he stuttered, his face almost white.
"Well, OF COURSE IT'S COLD!!"
"Not to mention it's really windy too!" Shadow said, hugging himself. Everyone did the same and huddled together, backs facing eachother.
"Cooold...." Tails started twitching. Sonic lifted him out of the cyclone and carried him over his back.
"Now, how do you turn off this thing?"
"Turn off? Do you m-mean turn i-it into a c-c-cube?" Tails asked.
"Yeah, that."
"Press the R-R-RED S-SHINY B-B-B-BUTTON!!!"
"YAY!!" Sonic whacked the red shiny button and the Cyclone turned into a cube. He tucked it into his pocket and everyone walked back inside the warm indoors of the cruise ship.
"Oooooh, it's WARM!!!" Tails said, running around.
Everyone stared at him. "O.O"
"What?"
Amy went up to him. "Why'd you come back?"
"You didn't want me to come back?" he started crying. "Fine!! I'll go away!! I'm just a pest!!" Tails sobbed.
"NONONONONONONONONONONO!!!!" everyone yelled. "We didn't mean it like that, Tails!!"
"WAHHHHHHH!!! ... Wait, you didn't? Oh okay, nevermind! ^_^" everyone fell over and sweatdropped.
"C'mon, let's go to dinner!" Eggman said. They nodded and started heading for the restaurant when Tails stopped them.
"Wait! What's the dress tonight?"
"Smart casual." answered Rouge. Tails looked at what they're wearing, which is just mainly clothes that you wear when you're hanging out.
"Um, what you're wearing isn't smart casual... you know that, right?"
"It isn't?" Shadow asked. "Dang!"
"But you could go eat dinner anyway, they won't mind."
"Oh okay!"
So they continued to the restaurant named "Donnatello" in the Golden Princess cruise ship. I just realized that this is kinda like advertising for their ship!! ^_^;; Anyway, yeah, they entered and asked for a table for eight. They sat down and got their menus.
"Oooh, this restaurant is fancy shmancy and shtuff!" Amy said, looking around.
"Not that fancy, but it IS elegant." said Rouge.
"Hmm, what do they've got here...." Sonic said. He looked over the menu that said: Welcome to the Golden Princess! Tonight we'll be serving Parisian Dinners!
"Parisian Dinners? Oooh, that'll be interesting..."
Rouge licked her lips. "Yes! Finally, some sensible food! Ah, the food of my country! Mon favori!"
"You love Paris food, don't ya?" Knuckles asked.
"Of course!"
Tails scanned the menu. "Frog legs? Uuum..."
Eggman beamed. "Frog legs! Yum! Fromage! Yum! Escargo! Yuum!!"
"Fromage?" Shadow asked.
"Escargo?" Tikal asked.
Rouge spoke again. "Fromage means cheese. Escargo is a meal."
"What kind of meal?" Amy asked.
"Snails."
"EEK!!"
"Snails?!" everyone asked at the same time.
"Yep. Snails. They're really quite good, you know. Don't you agree, Eggman?" Rouge turned to Dr. Robotnik.
"Of course I agree!"
"Why are you asking Eggman, he likes ALL kinds of food!!"
"Because I can."
"O.o"
A waiter with a French accent walked up to them. "Hello, are-" Shadow cut him off.
"NO I DON'T WANT ANY DRINKS!!!!"
"o_O Shad, what the heck?!" Sonic asked.
"Oh sorry... I'm still kinda ticked off with the waiter thing from the last chapter."
"Oooah..."
"(ahems) I was going to say," the waiter said, "are you ready to order?"
"Oui, nous sommes prêts! (Yes, we are ready.)" said Rouge.
"Vous pouvez parler français? (You can speak French?)" the waiter asked.
"Oui, je peux parler français. En fait, je viens réellement du pays de la France! (Yes, I can speak French. In fact, I really come from the country of France!)"
The waiter looked at her strangly. "Vous ne ressemblez pas à vous venez de ce pays. (You do not look like you come from that country.)"

The Sonic Crew listened blankly to their conversation. "I had no idea what they just said." Amy said. They all nodded. The French waiter looked towards Sonic. "'Ello! What would you like to eat?"
"Umm... err... the Frog Legs?" he said, unsure.
"Okay. (turns to Shadow) How about you?"
"I'll have the same as the blue hedgehog."
He scribbled something on his notepad. "Okay. (to Amy) You?"
"Um.... uh, Fromage?"
"O.o That's it? A piece of cheese is all you want?"
"Uh, yes?"
"Ooookay... (to Knuckles)."
"The Escargo please!"
"O____o SNAILS!!" everyone shouted and pointed at Knuckles.
"Yep!"
"(scribbles something and turns to Rouge) You, madam?"
"The same as my echidna friend here. Escargo."
"(scribble)"
"O____o SNAILS!!" everyone shouted and pointed at Rouge.

The waiter turns to Tails. "Hello."
"I'll have a piece of cheese, 2 snails, not the entire escargo meal, and a pair of frog legs."

"All right. (scribbles and turns to Eggman)"
"I'll have the same as the kitsune!" he said.
"I guess I'll have frog legs..." Tikal said.
"Great. (scribbles and closes his notepad) Thank you for ordering!"
Sonic looks at his name tag. "'Jack' o_o Um, thank you Jack!"
"S'okay!" the waiter, Jack, walks away.
"I don't think I wanna eat anymore..." Tikal mumured.
"Oh, c'mon guys!" Rouge said. "It'll be good!"
"Yeah, try it!" Knuckles said.
Shadow looked at Knuckles. "You're only saying that because you're her girlfriend."

"HAHA, NYAH!!"
"o.O;; Moron."
"YAY!!"
Everyone fell over.

Their food arrived and was set in front of them. Sonic stared at the plate in front of him. "Whoa.... THIS is frog legs?"
Shadow stared at his food too. "I guess.... OH WELL! BOB APPÉTIT!" Shadow grabbed a fork and started poking at one of the legs.
Rouge sweatdropped. "It's 'BON appétit', not 'BOB appetit!'"
"Oh. Sorry! " Shadow took apart a piece of the leg and stared at it. Everyone stared at him. He slowly opened his mouth and VERY VERY VERY VERY VEEEEERY slowly started to guide the fork with frog leg on it into his mouth. Everyone stared at him still.
~*2 minutes later*~
Shadow's fork was halfway there. More staring.
~*5 minutes later*~
Shadow slowed down and his fork was A CENTIMETER away from his mouth. Everyone kept staring.

"OH FOR GOD'S SAKE!!" yelled Sonic, taking the fork from Shadow's hands and shoving it into Shad's mouth. Shadow started chewing it slowly. Sonic slapped his forehead.
"Oy jeebus!!!"
"SWALLOW IT!!!" everyone screamed.
Shadow swallowed it. "Hmm..." he said.
"Tasty!"
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!"
They started to dig in. ^_____^;;;;
"Mmm, the escargo is good too!" Knuckles said.
"I told ya French cuisine is great!" said Rouge.

The Sonic Crew walked out of the restaurant, absolutely full and satisfied. They walked to their meeting place on deck 5 and sat down.
"You know what? We should call this place something." suggested Tails.
"What do you mean, 'call it something?'" Tikal asked.
"I mean, we always meet here, ne? Why don't we call it something so L-Gurl won't always have to say 'their meeting place on deck 5?'"

"Okay, what should we call it then?"
Shadow started jumping up and down on his seat. "Oooh!! Oooh! I know! Pick me!! PICK ME, DARN IT!!!"
"o_o; Um, okay, go ahead Shadow." Eggman said.
"We should call it... (jumps up on top of a table and does a stupid pose) 'THE SONIC CREW SPOT!!!'"
Everyone fell off their seats. "Oh god, no way!!" Knuckles said, laughing histerically.
"It's a good name!"
"I think not!" Sonic said.
"Oh fine, Mr. Hero, what should we name it?"
"Something simple. Like, 'The Spot.'"
"..........................." everyone stared at him.
"What?"
"Actually, that sounds good!" Eggman said. "I agree with him for once!"
"For once? You agreed with me in ARK too!"
Eggman sweatdropped. "Oh yah, that too!"
"^_^;; So how is it, guys?"
"Cool!" everyone said.
"Great!" Sonic jumped up on the table with Shadow. "I declare this spot to be named: THE SPOT!!!" he raises his fist in the air and everyone in the atrium claps and cheers. Alastair appears out of nowhere.
"GET OFF THE FURNITURE!!"
"YESSIR!!" Sonic and Shadow hop off the table.
"GOOD HEDGEHOGS!!" he dissapears again.
"Freakay." said Tikal.
Shadow faced Sonic. "But can we have a sub-name for this place if we ever get tired of calling it 'The Spot?'"
"Okay."
"YAY!! I wanna name it... (poses) SAOIHIW!!!"
"O_____o;;; Saoihiw?"
"Yep!"
"What's that supposed to mean?" Tikal asked.
"I have no idea!!"
Everyone fell over. Sonic looked at his watch. "Dang! It's 9pm already! Jeebus, time goes freakin' fast."
"Yep, it does." said Tikal. "Let's go back to our room for the night."
"Okay." they all said. They went into two elevators and went to deck 12. When all of them were in the hallway, they saw a poster on the wall.
"What's this?" Amy said, stopping everyone on their way to their rooms.
"A poster..." Rouge said.
Tikal read it out loud. "'A Christmas Winter Comedy Talent show! Tomorrow in the Princess Theater!! If you'd like to participate, then please sign up in the Princess Theater before tomorrow night at 6pm! Please participate! Whatever you do, it has to be about Christmas. That's why it's called the "Christmas Winter Comedy Talent Show"! And make sure it's funny, too! There is no need for a perfect performace or auditions because it's supposed to be fun! Sign up NOW!'"
"Ooooh, cool!!" Tails said. He looked at Sonic. "Sonic, we're gonna watch that tomorrow night, right?"
Sonic's emerald green eyes were filled with excitement and ideas. "No Tails..."
"What? Why not?"
He grinned. "Because we're gonna participate in it."
"WHAT?!" everyone yelled.
"How can we?!" Knuckles said.
"We can sign up!" Sonic replied.
"Yeah, I know that, but what are we gonna do?! We have no plans or anything!"
"Hehehe... that's what YOU think..."

"Sonikku, what are you planning?" Amy asked.
"We can do a play!"
"A play of what?!"
"I'll give the details later. C'mon guys, let's go into my cabin. I'll explain it there."
"But Sonic!" Shadow began, "Our room is a mess!"
"Just throw everything aside. Let's go!"
Sonic and Shadow led everyone to room D123.
"What? This isn't our room!" Shadow said.
"I know that. It's L-Gurl and Sonic19902's cabin." He knocks on the door. I open the door wearing a pair of dark blue jeans and a black shirt.
"Hi guys! I was expecting you."
"You were?" Eggman asked.
"I'm the author, remember?"
"Oh yah."
Shadow looked at me over. "How are you feeling?"
"I feel better... threw up about 4 times today."
"Poor you!"
"I know. ^_^;; But I took medicine! Stupid rough waves of the sea.... I usually don't get sick but I guess I did."
"Ah..."
"Anyway, come in!"
The Sonic Crew entered L-Gurl's stateroom. And it was big. Really. They found Sonic19902, S.T., Rhonda and Linzy sitting in nearby seats. They waved at them.
"Dang, man! Your room is huge!!!" Knuckles said.
"Well, yeah, of course!" I sweatdrop. Then I lead them to a huge bed. I motion for them to sit down on the edges and they do so. Opening my bag, I take out a thick book. Then I walk back to the Sonic Crew and sit down on the edge of the bed.
"What's that? A dictionary?" Amy asked.
"o_O; Um, no, it's my English book."
"IT'S FRIGGIN' THICK!!" Tails said.
"I know!" I opened it to a page that said: "A Christmas Carol" Then I flipped a few pages over, kind of giving them a hint of what we're gonna do.
"All right, so take a look at this page." I said to them, pointing.
Tails reads it out loud. "'Fred: A Merry Christmas, Uncle! God save you!' What? Why is it in script form?"
"Because it's supposed to be a play." I replied, smiling.
"We're gonna do this play?" Rouge asked.
"Yep!"
"Oh no..." Eggman said, "Don't tell me I have to play Scrooge!"
"No Eggman, you're not Scrooge."
Shadow looked at her. "If he's not, then who?" I grinned back at Shad. Everyone grinned at Shadow.
"What? What? ... Oh no..."

When they were finished eating, they got up and headed to the outside deck. All of them walked to the railing and looked out into the sea.
"Oh wow, it's sooo pretty!" Amy said.
Rouge looked down at the waves. "We're in the middle of nowhere... if we ever sink, no one will know unless the radio crew signals or something!" Knuckles glared at her and then gestured toward Tails with his head. The vampire bat looked at him confused. Then she looked towards Tails who was sitting on the floor, his legs pulled up to his chest and his back facing the ocean. Miles was rocking back and forth slowly, his eyes widened.
"Um... oops...."
"We're.... we're... gonna sink... we're gonna sink... we're gonna die... die here.... die here in the middle of nowhere... the... middle of.... NOWHERE......"
Everyone stared at Tails. "O_o"
Sonic jumped in front of Tails and posed. "WE WILL NOT DIE! LISTEN TO MAH WORDS OF WISDOM!"
"Are you STUPID?!" Tails got up and grabbed Sonic by the shoulders. He started shaking him madly. "OF COURSE WE'RE GONNA DIE!!!! DIDN'T YOU HEAR ROUGE?!? SHE SAID WE'RE GOING TO SINK!! AND WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!! NO ONE WILL KNOW!!" he let go of Sonic. "No one will know... will.... know...." He sat back down and began to rock back and forth, sucking on his thumb.

"We better get going... I think the cruise has got to him already." Amy commented. They started to walk away, but Tails was still on the floor. Eggman came and picked him up, throwing him over his shoulder. Tails started beating on his back.
"LEMME GO!! LEMME GOOO!! NO!! YOU CAN'T FORCE ME TO GO ON THIS CRUISE!! NOOO!!! NOOO!!!"
"Oh, SHADDAP!!" Eggman yelled. "You're already on the cruise!" He continued to carry Tails inside. The orange fox slipped out of his grasp and jumped on the rail. Everyone stared at him, eyes widened.
"TAILS!! Buddy, don't do it!!!" Sonic cried.
"I'll do it!!!"
"WHY are you doing it?!"
"Cuz we're gonna die anyway!!!"
Shadow advanced on Tails slowly. "Whoa, calm down..."
"NO!!" Suddenly, Tails jumped off the railing. Everyone ran to the rail and looked down at Tails. He was almost to the ocean when the Cyclone appeared out of nowhere and caught him before he fell into his icy DEATH. (Shad: Why'd you capitalize "death"?) I dunno!
"Tails!!" everyone screamed.
"MUAHAHAHA!!!!" the two-tailed fox laughed. "I'M GONNA GO AWAY NOW!! EEEEHEEHEE!! AWAY FROM THIS CRUISE!!! AWAY FROM MY ICY DEATH!! MUAHAHAHAAHAHHAHA!!!!!" he and the Cyclone flew away.
"...."
"... What just happened?" Tikal asked.
"I... don't... know...." Eggman said.
"Tails just flew away! Can you believe that?" Sonic said. "Oh great, now what?"
"I'll go after him!" volunteered Eggman.
Sonic shook his head. "Nah, if he doesn't wanna go on this cruise, then he won't. You have NO idea how stubborn he really is."
Shadow smirked at the blue hedgehog. "As stubborn as you?"
"Yeah, (shoves Shadow) as stubborn as me."
"How is that possible?"
"I... don't... know...."
"O_o YEAH!! I'M THE MORON!! WOO HOO!"
"YES YOU ARE!" Everyone points at Shadow, throw their heads back and laugh insanely. Shadow sweatdrops.
"Let's just go now..."
"OKAY!"
Again, everyone walked back indoors, missing one of their comrades. "Where should we go next?" they all said at the same time.
"The bingo room!" Sonic suggested. Everyone stared at him. "What?"
"Um, we'll do that laaater... how about the tennis court?" Knuckles said.
"YAY!!" they all ran to the tennis court and to the main desk. Knuckles pushed Sonic out of the way. "Hello, (looks at the guy's ID card on his shirt) Nick! We're here to play tennis!"
A hedgehog with golden fur, a sword strapped to his back and shoes that turn into a hover-board sat behind the desk. He had on headphones EXTREMELY loud looked up from his gaming magazine. "Eh, what?"
"We're here to play tennis!" Knuckles repeated.
"Wha?"
"TENNIS!!"
"WHA?!"
"TENNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS!!!!!"
"SPEAK LOUDER, I CAN'T HEAR YA!!"
Knuckles lifted the earphones off of him and yelled into his ear, "TENNIS, YOU IDIOT!!!!"
"Yeah! Idiot!" Amy said, whacking Nick with her Piko Piko Hammer.
"Ooooooh! Why didn't ya say so?" he asked. They all sweatdropped.
"How many courts do ya got?" Rouge asked. Nick looked towards Rouge and stared at her with his mouth open. Rouge's eyes narrowed and she growled threateningly, whipping out a huge flower pot. O_o; Nick kept staring. Knuckles socked him in the face.
"That's MY girl you're staring at!!!" he growled.
"Oh!! Sorry dude. Okay, what do ya want?"
"WE WANT TO PLAY TENNIS, DARN IT!!" shouted Eggman, fed up with the delay.
"You didn't answer my question!" Rouge said, raising her flower pot so she could whack him if he stared at her again.
"We got 20 courts!"
"HOLY CRAP!"
"That's a lot!" Tikal replied.
"Well, yeah. We have a lot of passengers." Said Nick.
"All right, how much per hour?" Dr. Robotnik asked.
"A dollar."
"Really?!"
"Yeah!"
"Cool!!"
"Eggman said 'cool'!" Shad said.
Dr. Eggman glared at Shadow. "SO?!"
"Nothing, sir!"
"Okay, so do you want to play or not?" Nick said.
"We want to play!"
"That's all right with me."
"^_^"
"But..."
"Oh no, there's a 'but'..."
"WHERE?!" Sonic said, looking around. The girls slapped him. "Oww..."
"You have to wear clothes."
"WHAT?!" Sonic, Shadow, and Knuckles screamed.
"Yep. You don't have clothes on except for those 3 girls and that huge man over there."
"Why do we have to wear clothes?! It's not like we're showing anything private!" Shadow said.
Nick pointed at a sign in the window. "Read that."
Knuckles read the sign out loud. "'THOU CANNOT PLAY TENNIS IF THOU DOST NOT HAVE GARMENTS ON THY SELVES.' O_o;; So that means we'll have to go ALL the way back up to our rooms and put on some clothes?"
"Uh huh."
"DARN!!" the three boys said. They ran to the elevator and went up to their rooms to put on some clothes.
"... Yeah, I knew that clothes would be a problem for them." Rouge said.
"Oh yeah, and by the way, are you gonna play tennis in that?" Nick asked, pointing at Rouge's regular outfit.
"Well, yeah."
"I think that you'd play better if you changed into something more comfortable."
"I don't have to listen to you!"
"All right..."
"You know what, I think I'm going to change clothes..." Tikal said, looking at her own outfit.
Amy nodded. "Yeah, me too. C'mon, let's go before the guys get here." She and Tikal ran to another elevator and went up to their rooms.
"Hmph, I'm staying in my outfit! There's nothing wrong with it!" Rouge said.
"I'm gonna change too." Eggman ran up the stairs to his room. o_o;
"Wha? So everyone's changing except me? Oh fine, they can do whatever they want!" Rouge sat down on a couch and waited for them.
10 minutes later....
The elevator opened, and the Sonic Crew, except Rouge and Eggman, tried to get out at the same time. They all fell over and Shadow was at the bottom.
"ACK!! CAN'T.... BREATHE..."
"Sorrysorrysorrysorry!!" they apologized to the hedgehog before getting off.
"Whew!! Air!!"
"This is a very strange sight..." Rouge said.
Knuckles tilted his head. "Why is that?"
"Because YOU BOYS ARE WEARING CLOTHES! ACTUAL CLOTHES!"

Sonic was wearing baggy, beige, cargo shorts with a loose, white t-shirt on. He's still wearing his soaps shoes. He had sunglasses laying on top of his head, and a pack of gum was in his left pocket. He looked coooool. ^_^;;;
Shadow was wearing black, baggy cargo shorts with a red, loose shirt, and he was wearing normal shoes that looked a bit similar to Sonic's. He still had his bracelets on and on his left wrist was a sports watch. Of course, he still had on the necklace he found in chapter 3. He looked cool too.
Knuckles was wearing an orange, loose shirt and had on a pair of dark blue baggy cargo pants. He had all his upgrades (you know, air necklace, sunglasses, etc.) on except his Hammer Gloves.
Tikal was wearing a white mini-skirt, the ones meant for tennis, a sleeveless green shirt with a collar, and was wearing tennis shoes.
Amy had on a pink mini skirt, a reddish-pink shirt sleeveless shirt and red tennis shoes. She still had on her headband.
"You guys look... well, different!"
"Yeah, we do..." Sonic said.
Eggman ran down the stairs and up to the crew with gray shorts and a white polo shirt on. He was wearing tennis shoes too. He stopped in front of them, puffing madly.
"O_o Why'd you use the stairs, Egghead?" Tikal asked.
"I don't (puff) know... but I (puff) think (puff) that I lost (puff) 5 POUNDS!!!" everyone fell over.
Sonic spoke. "I think not!"
"Well, BLAH to you."
"All right, here are your tennis rackets." Nick said as he threw 7 rackets at them. Everyone caught theirs' except Shadow, who missed by a foot. He picked it up.
"Okay, take courts number 2, 3, and 4!"
(There! That's NICKMASTEROFTHEZSWORD's cameo. And I'm sorry if I made you kind of OOC. ^_^;; At least you have a scene in this story! Continuing...)
"YAY!!" they all ran outside and went to their courts. Shadow and Knuckles took #2, Sonic and Amy took #3, Rouge and Tikal took #4, and Eggman waited for his turn on the side.

Okay look, when it says this next to a court number: "HATSTATLC", that means "Happening At The Same Time As The Last Court." If there's nothing next to the court number, then that's a new time period. Do you get it? No? ... Eh...

"All right, Shadow! Ready to be beaten?!" Knuckles said excitedly, throwing the tennis ball up and down.
"Hold on, hold on!" Shadow reached into his pocket.
"Hold on to what?"
"Your shorts!"
"Okay!" Knuckles held on to his shorts. O_o;
Shadow took out his glasses and put them on. He looked cool with glasses on... it made him look smart. ^_^;;; It also makes him look like a business man or something! Anyway, Shadow shouted back to Knuckles. "I'm ready!"
Knuckles grinned. "I'm holding on to my shorts!"
Court 3 HATSTATLC (that means that the following event was happening at the same time as the last event, get it?)-
"Amy!! We're supposed to play TENNIS!! Not SQUEEZE THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF SONIC!!!" cried the blue hedgehog, trying to pry Amy off him.
"But Sonikku, it's so nice to hold you!"
"Um, WELL, TO ME, IT HURTS LIKE HECK!!!"
"Heck hurts?"
"How am I supposed to know?"
"I dunno, but you're so kawaiii!!" Amy continued squeezing Sonic.
"LEMME GO!! LEMME GO!!" he looks at court number 2 and sees Shadow reaching into his pocket. He looks towards Knuckles who is holding on to his shorts. "O_o;; What is Knuckles doing?"
Amy also looked. "I dunno! But I love you, Sonic!"
"Um, you're okay too! Now just let go of me and play tennis!!"
The pink hedgehog thought about it. "Nah, it's nicer to hug ya!"
Sonic sighed and started thinking. 'Argh! What can I do to make her let go of me? Oh! I know! That will definitely work! But wait.... I'll have to do it sometime.... oh man, I'm going to regret this, but this is the only way to make her let go...'
The heroic hedgehog hesitated before speaking. "Amy... if you let go of me... I'll... I'll give ya a kiss..."
Amy squealed and let go of Sonic, enabling him to once again breathe. "REALLY?! REALLY?!?! OH MY GOD!! OHMYGOOOOSH!! SONIKKU'S GONNA KISS ME!!! EEEKKKK!!!"
"I'll only do it if you play tennis and don't hug me for the rest of this cruise!!"
"EEEEEEEKKKK!! YAY!!" Amy jumped over the net and ran over to the other side of the court. "Okay! Let's play tennis!!"
"Phew! All right, you serve!" Sonic threw Amy the ball and she caught it.
The pink hedgehog smiled. "Sure!"
Court 4 HATSTATLC (that means that the following event was happening at the same time as the last event, get it?)-
"Who serves the ball?" Rouge asked.
"I'll do it!" Tikal said. Rouge tossed her the ball. "Rouge, are you ready?!"
"Yep!"
"Okay, brace yourself!" Tikal served the ball just as good as a professional and Rouge returned the ball with a backhand hit (or something like that).
They continued playing professionally.
1 minute later...
Rouge was about to return the ball when she tripped over her own feet. "Ahh!!" she said as she fell to the floor.
Tikal ran over. "Whoa, are you okay?"
"Oww... stupid boots..."
Tikal smirked. "Heh, you should've listened to Nick over there."
"No I didn't! I can still play! I just tripped once. That doesn't mean I'll trip again..."
Rouge stood up and grabbed the ball.
Court 2- (When there's nothing next to a court number, then the following event is a new time period.)
"-_-; You can let go now...."
"Yay!" Knuckles lets go of his shorts and grabs hold of his tennis racket in his right hand and the ball in his left. "Ready?"
"Yeah!"

"OKAY!!" Knuckles threw the ball high into the air. Shadow got ready. As the ball came down, Knuckles swung his racket. He missed by an inch and the tennis ball fell on his head. "OWWWW!!!!"
Shadow, on the other side of the tennis court, fell over. "SHEESH!! YOU CAN'T EVEN SERVE?!"
"Uhm, uh, that was just practice! Yeah! Practice, that's all!"
Shad sweatdropped. "Try again!"
"All right!" Again, Knuckles threw the ball into the air. He missed by an inch. Apparently, he swung too hard and fell over, face flat.
Shadow fell over. "JEEBUS CHRIST!"
"Owie... here!! You serve it!" the red echidna threw the ball towards Shadow and he caught it.
"Get ready! Hi-yaaa!!" Shadow threw the ball into the air and made a perfect serve. Knuckles wasn't really paying attention and the ball hit him in the face, knocking him out.
"O________O Uh oh." Shadow leaped over the net and to Knuckles. He bent down and started shaking him. "Dude!! Wake up!! Are you dead? Holy crap!!"
Court 3 HATSTATLC-
"Sonikku, get ready! HA!" Amy served the ball and when her racket hit the tennis ball, pink hearts flew out. o_O;; It was just like Peach's serve in Mario Tennis!
Sonic returned the ball with a hit, and when the ball came bouncing back to Amy, she swung and missed by two feet. The tennis ball rolled to the back of the court.
"o________o;; Amy!! Are you like, duling?!"
"I am not drooling!!"
"I said DULING!!"
"I ain't dueling either!!"
"DULING, DARN IT!! DUUULIIINNNNGGG!!!"
"Oh! Duling?"
"Yah!!"
"What does that mean?" Amy asked.
"It's in tagalog! L-Gurl's language! That means that you can't really see that well! How can you miss by two feet?!"
"I dunno..." Sonic fell over. "Hold on, Sonikku, why did you say duling? Couldn't you say it in ENGLISH so I can understand?"
"I said it in tagalog because I don't know how to say it in english!"
"Wait, you can speak tagalog?"
"A little bit..."
Tikal from the other court shouted over to them. "Hey!! What are you doing? You're supposed to play tennis!"
"Oh well, sooorry!!" Sonic yelled back.
"It's OKAY!!"
The blue hedgehog sweatdropped. "^_^;; Here, lemme serve it." Amy threw the ball to him and they continued to play tennis.
Court 4 HATSTATLC-
Rouge threw the ball above her head and served. "Yah!"
Tikal returned the ball and when Rouge was about to hit the ball, she tripped again.
"Oww!! Dang boots!!!"
"TOLD YA!" Tikal yelled from the other side.
"GRR!!" Rouge got up and served the ball again. Tikal returned AGAIN, and when Rouge was about to backhand hit it, she fell over... AGAIN.
"Darn Rouge, just go change!"
"Oh fine!!" the vampire bat gets up and stomps off the court. The orange echidna sits down on a nearby bench. She watches Sonic and Amy who are currently talking.
She shouted over to them. "Hey!! What are you doing? You're supposed to play tennis!"
Sonic looked in her direction. "Oh well, sooorry!"
"It's OKAY!!"
"^_^;;;"
"I'll just have to wait here until Rouge comes back... I know! I'll go watch Shadow and Knuckles." the spirit got up and walked towards court 2.
Court 2-
"Knuckles!! Knuckles!! Dude, wake up!!!" Shadow yelled in front of Knuckles's face. He saw Tikal walking towards them. "Tikal!! Tikal!! Come here!"
Tikal ran over and sees Knuckles on the floor. She kneeled down and faced the hedgehog. "Shad, what happened?!"
"Um... I knocked him out with a tennis ball."
"o.o;;"
"Accidentally, of course!!"
"All right, what do you want me to do about it?"
Eggman came running to them. "I can help!"
Shadow raised an eyebrow. "How?"
"I studied being a doctor when I was in college! I can restore him back to conciousness in NO time."
"Great!" Tikal said, "Well, what are you waiting for?"
"Uuuuhhhhmmm...."
"O_O;;"
"Okay, step back!" Shadow and Tikal stepped away. Eggman took out a red suitcase from absolutely nowhere and opened it, revealing a whole bunch of food.
"O_o; How's that gonna restore Knuckles?!" Tikal asked.
Eggman took a chocolate donut from the suitcase. "Watch." He waved it around Knuckles nose. The red echidna bolted up and started chewing the donut like a wild animal, which he kinda is!
"o.O;;" Shad, Tikal and stared at Knuckles. When he was finished gobbling up the donut, he had chocolate smeared all over his mouth area. He looked towards the three people staring at him.
"What?"
"You're so weird..."
"Everyone is at one point." they fell over.
Tikal looked over and saw Rouge coming out of an elevator wearing a purple mini-skirt, a lilac tank top, and tennis shoes.
"Hey Rouge!" Tikal yelled. "Ready to play tennis?"
"You betcha'!"
They walked back over to court 4 and started playing.
Court 3 HATSTATLC-
Amy hit the ball back over the net. Sonic missed the ball and fell over.
"^_^;; Sonikku, you're so cute when you don't hit the ball and fall over!"
"-___-;;; (gets back up) Well... umm... nevermind!!"
"Sonikku, you're so cute when you glare at me!"

"Sonikku, you're so cute when you sweatdrop!!"
"GRR!!!"
"Sonikku, you're so cute when you growl-"
"AMY, SHUT UP!!!!"

"Sonikku, you're so cute when you tell me to shut up!"
Sonic fell over. "AHH JEEZ!! Let's play tennis for Maria's sake!"
"MARIAAAAAAA!!!" Shad said from the other court.
"Oy jeebus... (slaps forehead)" muttered Sonic.
Everyone played for another hour and realized that it was already 5pm when they finished. Of course, Eggman got his turn to play too, but he soon got tired in a matter of 2 minutes. ^_^;; So, they turned in their rackets and tennis balls and payed their fee. The Sonic Crew exited the tennis court and went to their meeting place on deck 5.
"Phew! That was a good workout." Sonic said.
Eggman was puffing hard. "I'm... soo tired...."
"You just played for about 15 minutes... we played for more than an hour!" Knuckles stated.
"And you got knocked out! XD" said Shadow.
"That was your fault!!"
"Me?"
"Yeah! You served it too hard and it knocked me out!"
"You weren't paying attention!"
"Yeah I was!"
"No you weren't!"
"Yeah I was!"
"No you weren't!"
"YEAH I WAS!!"
"NO YOU WEREN'T!!"
"OH SHADDAAAP!!!" Alastair screamed again, appearing out of nowhere. Twirling his cane, he spoke, "You're disturbing the PEACE again!! Shush!!"
"Yessir!!" Knuckles and Shadow said.
Alastair dissapeared in a puff of red smoke.
Everyone raised an eyebrow. "O__O I have a feeling he's not a regular cruise director." Sonic said.
"Yeah..." everyone agreed.
"Okay, so now what do we do?" Tikal asked.
The blue hedgehog looked at his watch. "It's 5:30pm. Should we get to dinner already?"
"FOODFOODFOODFOODFOODFOODFOOD!!!!" squealed Eggman, jumping up and boogie-ing. Everyone sweatdropped.
"There's our answer!"
"Wait, what's tonight's dress?" Amy asked.
Rouge took out the Princess Patter, the daily newspaper for the cruise. She looked in the top right corner. It said: Tonight's Dress-Smart Casual
"Smart Casual? What's that supposed to mean?" she asked her friends.
They all stared blankly at eachother. Suddenly, something that sounded similar to a crash was heard outside. The Sonic Crew got up and ran to the railing outside. They saw Tails sitting in his Cyclone, wearing a lot of clothes.
"TAILS!!" everyone yelled.
"Tails, buddy!! You came back!!" Sonic said, running up to the Cyclone and up to the kitsune.
"I-it's s-s-s-s-so f-friggin' c-c-c-cold out in the o-o-ocean...." he stuttered, his face almost white.
"Well, OF COURSE IT'S COLD!!"
"Not to mention it's really windy too!" Shadow said, hugging himself. Everyone did the same and huddled together, backs facing eachother.
"Cooold...." Tails started twitching. Sonic lifted him out of the cyclone and carried him over his back.
"Now, how do you turn off this thing?"
"Turn off? Do you m-mean turn i-it into a c-c-cube?" Tails asked.
"Yeah, that."
"Press the R-R-RED S-SHINY B-B-B-BUTTON!!!"
"YAY!!" Sonic whacked the red shiny button and the Cyclone turned into a cube. He tucked it into his pocket and everyone walked back inside the warm indoors of the cruise ship.
"Oooooh, it's WARM!!!" Tails said, running around.
Everyone stared at him. "O.O"
"What?"
Amy went up to him. "Why'd you come back?"
"You didn't want me to come back?" he started crying. "Fine!! I'll go away!! I'm just a pest!!" Tails sobbed.
"NONONONONONONONONONONO!!!!" everyone yelled. "We didn't mean it like that, Tails!!"
"WAHHHHHHH!!! ... Wait, you didn't? Oh okay, nevermind! ^_^" everyone fell over and sweatdropped.
"C'mon, let's go to dinner!" Eggman said. They nodded and started heading for the restaurant when Tails stopped them.
"Wait! What's the dress tonight?"
"Smart casual." answered Rouge. Tails looked at what they're wearing, which is just mainly clothes that you wear when you're hanging out.
"Um, what you're wearing isn't smart casual... you know that, right?"
"It isn't?" Shadow asked. "Dang!"
"But you could go eat dinner anyway, they won't mind."
"Oh okay!"
So they continued to the restaurant named "Donnatello" in the Golden Princess cruise ship. I just realized that this is kinda like advertising for their ship!! ^_^;; Anyway, yeah, they entered and asked for a table for eight. They sat down and got their menus.
"Oooh, this restaurant is fancy shmancy and shtuff!" Amy said, looking around.
"Not that fancy, but it IS elegant." said Rouge.
"Hmm, what do they've got here...." Sonic said. He looked over the menu that said: Welcome to the Golden Princess! Tonight we'll be serving Parisian Dinners!
"Parisian Dinners? Oooh, that'll be interesting..."
Rouge licked her lips. "Yes! Finally, some sensible food! Ah, the food of my country! Mon favori!"
"You love Paris food, don't ya?" Knuckles asked.
"Of course!"
Tails scanned the menu. "Frog legs? Uuum..."
Eggman beamed. "Frog legs! Yum! Fromage! Yum! Escargo! Yuum!!"
"Fromage?" Shadow asked.
"Escargo?" Tikal asked.
Rouge spoke again. "Fromage means cheese. Escargo is a meal."
"What kind of meal?" Amy asked.
"Snails."
"EEK!!"
"Snails?!" everyone asked at the same time.
"Yep. Snails. They're really quite good, you know. Don't you agree, Eggman?" Rouge turned to Dr. Robotnik.
"Of course I agree!"
"Why are you asking Eggman, he likes ALL kinds of food!!"
"Because I can."
"O.o"
A waiter with a French accent walked up to them. "Hello, are-" Shadow cut him off.
"NO I DON'T WANT ANY DRINKS!!!!"
"o_O Shad, what the heck?!" Sonic asked.
"Oh sorry... I'm still kinda ticked off with the waiter thing from the last chapter."
"Oooah..."
"(ahems) I was going to say," the waiter said, "are you ready to order?"
"Oui, nous sommes prêts! (Yes, we are ready.)" said Rouge.
"Vous pouvez parler français? (You can speak French?)" the waiter asked.
"Oui, je peux parler français. En fait, je viens réellement du pays de la France! (Yes, I can speak French. In fact, I really come from the country of France!)"
The waiter looked at her strangly. "Vous ne ressemblez pas à vous venez de ce pays. (You do not look like you come from that country.)"
"Je sais. Il est étrange. (I know. It is strange.)"
"En outre, vous n'avez pas l'accent français. (Moreover, you do not have the French accent.)"
"Bien, soyez quiet et prenez nos ordres déjà! (All right, be quiet and take our orders already!)"
"Yes ma'am, I'm sorry."
"S'okay."
The Sonic Crew listened blankly to their conversation. "I had no idea what they just said." Amy said. They all nodded. The French waiter looked towards Sonic. "'Ello! What would you like to eat?"
"Umm... err... the Frog Legs?" he said, unsure.
"Okay. (turns to Shadow) How about you?"
"I'll have the same as the blue hedgehog."
He scribbled something on his notepad. "Okay. (to Amy) You?"
"Um.... uh, Fromage?"
"O.o That's it? A piece of cheese is all you want?"
"Uh, yes?"
"Ooookay... (to Knuckles)."
"The Escargo please!"
"O____o SNAILS!!" everyone shouted and pointed at Knuckles.
"Yep!"
"(scribbles something and turns to Rouge) You, madam?"
"The same as my echidna friend here. Escargo."
"(scribble)"
"O____o SNAILS!!" everyone shouted and pointed at Rouge.
"^_^;;"
The waiter turns to Tails. "Hello."
"I'll have a piece of cheese, 2 snails, not the entire escargo meal, and a pair of frog legs."
"O_______________________O;;"
"All right. (scribbles and turns to Eggman)"
"I'll have the same as the kitsune!" he said.
"I guess I'll have frog legs..." Tikal said.
"Great. (scribbles and closes his notepad) Thank you for ordering!"
Sonic looks at his name tag. "'Jack' o_o Um, thank you Jack!"
"S'okay!" the waiter, Jack, walks away.
"I don't think I wanna eat anymore..." Tikal mumured.
"Oh, c'mon guys!" Rouge said. "It'll be good!"
"Yeah, try it!" Knuckles said.
Shadow looked at Knuckles. "You're only saying that because you're her girlfriend."

"HAHA, NYAH!!"
"o.O;; Moron."
"YAY!!"
Everyone fell over.
~*15 minutes later*~
Their food arrived and was set in front of them. Sonic stared at the plate in front of him. "Whoa.... THIS is frog legs?"
Shadow stared at his food too. "I guess.... OH WELL! BOB APPÉTIT!" Shadow grabbed a fork and started poking at one of the legs.
Rouge sweatdropped. "It's 'BON appétit', not 'BOB appetit!'"
"Oh. Sorry! " Shadow took apart a piece of the leg and stared at it. Everyone stared at him. He slowly opened his mouth and VERY VERY VERY VERY VEEEEERY slowly started to guide the fork with frog leg on it into his mouth. Everyone stared at him still.
~*2 minutes later*~
Shadow's fork was halfway there. More staring.
~*5 minutes later*~
Shadow slowed down and his fork was A CENTIMETER away from his mouth. Everyone kept staring.

...
...
"OH FOR GOD'S SAKE!!" yelled Sonic, taking the fork from Shadow's hands and shoving it into Shad's mouth. Shadow started chewing it slowly. Sonic slapped his forehead.
"Oy jeebus!!!"
"SWALLOW IT!!!" everyone screamed.
Shadow swallowed it. "Hmm..." he said.
"Tasty!"
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!"
They started to dig in. ^_____^;;;;
"Mmm, the escargo is good too!" Knuckles said.
"I told ya French cuisine is great!" said Rouge.
~*An hour later*~
The Sonic Crew walked out of the restaurant, absolutely full and satisfied. They walked to their meeting place on deck 5 and sat down.
"You know what? We should call this place something." suggested Tails.
"What do you mean, 'call it something?'" Tikal asked.
"I mean, we always meet here, ne? Why don't we call it something so L-Gurl won't always have to say 'their meeting place on deck 5?'"

"Okay, what should we call it then?"
Shadow started jumping up and down on his seat. "Oooh!! Oooh! I know! Pick me!! PICK ME, DARN IT!!!"
"o_o; Um, okay, go ahead Shadow." Eggman said.
"We should call it... (jumps up on top of a table and does a stupid pose) 'THE SONIC CREW SPOT!!!'"
Everyone fell off their seats. "Oh god, no way!!" Knuckles said, laughing histerically.
"It's a good name!"
"I think not!" Sonic said.
"Oh fine, Mr. Hero, what should we name it?"
"Something simple. Like, 'The Spot.'"
"..........................." everyone stared at him.
"What?"
"Actually, that sounds good!" Eggman said. "I agree with him for once!"
"For once? You agreed with me in ARK too!"
Eggman sweatdropped. "Oh yah, that too!"
"^_^;; So how is it, guys?"
"Cool!" everyone said.
"Great!" Sonic jumped up on the table with Shadow. "I declare this spot to be named: THE SPOT!!!" he raises his fist in the air and everyone in the atrium claps and cheers. Alastair appears out of nowhere.
"GET OFF THE FURNITURE!!"
"YESSIR!!" Sonic and Shadow hop off the table.
"GOOD HEDGEHOGS!!" he dissapears again.
"Freakay." said Tikal.
Shadow faced Sonic. "But can we have a sub-name for this place if we ever get tired of calling it 'The Spot?'"
"Okay."
"YAY!! I wanna name it... (poses) SAOIHIW!!!"
"O_____o;;; Saoihiw?"
"Yep!"
"What's that supposed to mean?" Tikal asked.
"I have no idea!!"
Everyone fell over. Sonic looked at his watch. "Dang! It's 9pm already! Jeebus, time goes freakin' fast."
"Yep, it does." said Tikal. "Let's go back to our room for the night."
"Okay." they all said. They went into two elevators and went to deck 12. When all of them were in the hallway, they saw a poster on the wall.
"What's this?" Amy said, stopping everyone on their way to their rooms.
"A poster..." Rouge said.
Tikal read it out loud. "'A Christmas Winter Comedy Talent show! Tomorrow in the Princess Theater!! If you'd like to participate, then please sign up in the Princess Theater before tomorrow night at 6pm! Please participate! Whatever you do, it has to be about Christmas. That's why it's called the "Christmas Winter Comedy Talent Show"! And make sure it's funny, too! There is no need for a perfect performace or auditions because it's supposed to be fun! Sign up NOW!'"
"Ooooh, cool!!" Tails said. He looked at Sonic. "Sonic, we're gonna watch that tomorrow night, right?"
Sonic's emerald green eyes were filled with excitement and ideas. "No Tails..."
"What? Why not?"
He grinned. "Because we're gonna participate in it."
"WHAT?!" everyone yelled.
"How can we?!" Knuckles said.
"We can sign up!" Sonic replied.
"Yeah, I know that, but what are we gonna do?! We have no plans or anything!"
"Hehehe... that's what YOU think..."
"o_o;;"
"Sonikku, what are you planning?" Amy asked.
"We can do a play!"
"A play of what?!"
"I'll give the details later. C'mon guys, let's go into my cabin. I'll explain it there."
"But Sonic!" Shadow began, "Our room is a mess!"
"Just throw everything aside. Let's go!"
Sonic and Shadow led everyone to room D123.
"What? This isn't our room!" Shadow said.
"I know that. It's L-Gurl and Sonic19902's cabin." He knocks on the door. I open the door wearing a pair of dark blue jeans and a black shirt.
"Hi guys! I was expecting you."
"You were?" Eggman asked.
"I'm the author, remember?"
"Oh yah."
Shadow looked at me over. "How are you feeling?"
"I feel better... threw up about 4 times today."
"Poor you!"
"I know. ^_^;; But I took medicine! Stupid rough waves of the sea.... I usually don't get sick but I guess I did."
"Ah..."
"Anyway, come in!"
The Sonic Crew entered L-Gurl's stateroom. And it was big. Really. They found Sonic19902, S.T., Rhonda and Linzy sitting in nearby seats. They waved at them.
"Dang, man! Your room is huge!!!" Knuckles said.
"Well, yeah, of course!" I sweatdrop. Then I lead them to a huge bed. I motion for them to sit down on the edges and they do so. Opening my bag, I take out a thick book. Then I walk back to the Sonic Crew and sit down on the edge of the bed.
"What's that? A dictionary?" Amy asked.
"o_O; Um, no, it's my English book."
"IT'S FRIGGIN' THICK!!" Tails said.
"I know!" I opened it to a page that said: "A Christmas Carol" Then I flipped a few pages over, kind of giving them a hint of what we're gonna do.
"All right, so take a look at this page." I said to them, pointing.
Tails reads it out loud. "'Fred: A Merry Christmas, Uncle! God save you!' What? Why is it in script form?"
"Because it's supposed to be a play." I replied, smiling.
"We're gonna do this play?" Rouge asked.
"Yep!"
"Oh no..." Eggman said, "Don't tell me I have to play Scrooge!"
"No Eggman, you're not Scrooge."
Shadow looked at her. "If he's not, then who?" I grinned back at Shad. Everyone grinned at Shadow.
"What? What? ... Oh no..."
