Shonen Knife was sweet. There were apparently 3 opening bands, but we missed the first one. The 2nd one was called Verona Grove, and were pretty damn good for an emo punk band. The 3rd was a decent modern rock group called The Juliet Dagger. We spent most of their set playing pool (we == me/Grace/Janie/Nick (Janie's brother)/Anna (Nick's gf)). ( Read more... )

Haha, wow. I kept trying to get Matt to take me to see M.I.A. there and he said no, because he didn't want anything to happen to our car. Last time we were there a a bum asked us for some money to "watch out" for our car for us, though, and everything was fine. =P

yeah, I've parked in that spot at least 10 times in my life. Maybe it's a 1 in 10 thing? =/

Argggggh!!

Were your things in plain view while in the car? One time when we lived in Detroit, Matt had parked the car somewhere (in the day time) and when he came back a prostitute was looking through the window at the change we had in one of the cupholders.

Her purse was on the floor behind the seat with our coats on top. This *seemed* to be safe enough.. I guess not D=

My make/model is one of the most broken into/stolen models in America. I guess it's just one of those things that goes with owning it =/

I'm glad the show was good, but what an awful thing to come back to.

In my experience, if I'm going to leave anything in my car for more than a moment I'll probably stick it in my trunk. I'm kinda paranoid sometimes. :X

How much do you think the repairs are going to set you back?

Well, I'm making an insurance claim for it, so in the end, nothing I think. In the short run probably $100 or so >___<;;

sigh!

Part of the problem is that most of my trunk is visible too since I've got that hatch. Honestly I thought where we had them was pretty discrete...

Man that is some bad luck, especially after that thing in the park in NY a while back. In other news I need to get a car alarm before going to Detroit lol ;o
