I bought myself a 120GB external HD two weeks ago and have been catching up on some series I previously didn't have the room to follow along with. :D Ah~ so nice, not constantly hovering around 1-2 GB of free space~ Although some old stuff have been removed from bots so I have to resort to BT. *hate*
GANTZ is now my current obsession. I thought I'd hate it since it's pretty depressing and they killed off the only character I liked early on, but a lot of the later characters (the manga; the anime replacements were seriously loathesome) are pretty cool. And Kurono kind of grew on me toward the end of the third mission. One thing I did like better about anime, though, is that they give better treatment to Sakuraoka. Manga!Kurono's kind of like, "Hey thanks for letting me fuck you when I appeared to be nothing but a wimpy, horny crybaby in cosplay and for dying protecting me and trying to earn my love. By the way, now that I know I can recall people who died during the game, let me try to bring back the girl who wanted nothing to do with me instead of you."
I dislike Kishimoto. She's so useless. I don't get WHY Kurono still seems to want her when he has better choices -- the gf, Sakuraoka, the idol... I like the gf, but I'm rooting for Kurono to get with the idol in the meantime. *cough* No, I'm not a huge fangirl of female idols, why would you think that?
My impression after reading the latest 10 scanlated chapters of Death Note: Is it just me or does Light seem pushed into the background and it's all about teh Misa? Not that I mind. She's the cutest thing ever and beats out Light in my faves list now. *luffs* The idol-y image suits her better than the EGL look. And damn if she didn't make me stop loathing L just by saying she likes him. >_> I think I'll rejoin the comm now in hopes that someone will post a Namikawa/Midou fanfic, with Shimura tossed in there somewhere, maybe. XDD
