Mmmmm, I'm going to say that it depends on the private school and how they act. Not all private schools are religious, and depending on the school, it IS possible to get a better education at a private school because they're not mandated by the state over what they cover; for instance, if I were coming up with a high school British Lit course, I would probably focus on more early lit than my state would allow (I think they only allow like... Beowulf... and then the next earliest is Shakespeare. =/ ) I also wouldn't jump around with the dates of when everything was written, so that the earliest lit would go first, and the most modern lit would go last (my high school teachers were all over the place, and it was SO ANNOYING). But yeah, you get my point; certain private schools allow much more freedom than public schools ( ... )

Agreed, we just had crappy schools... XD The possibility is there... but we ended up with the short end of the stick.
