Man, that just sucks. It looks like it was such a pretty blade, too.
I like the thought of the west coast. I think I want to move that way. Don't know yet where, but Portland or San Francisco look like excellent places. I just don't know where to get a job.
I'm having the same issues. Lot of firms that I'd like to work with, none with "now hiring" listings anywhere in site. I'll send out stuff anyway, but you never know, maybe we'll get lucky at some point.
Sorry about the knife breaking- and the stress! I hope everything that's crappy will improve for you and Jen. I couldn't handle the cold in Oregon, though I'd love to visit (in summertime!). On the knife, I agree- try to duplicate the tang and reuse the handle, save you time on making a new one!
I'm so sorry love.. i know how hard you worked on that knife, and it was beautiful. I really wish i'd snuck in and took some in-progress shots.... i loved the feel of it in my hand, too. So sorry that it broke.
Also sorry that things have been so hard around here, but i am endlessly grateful for your strength in keeping things going, and taking care of us. I do my best to try to take care of you, too. ~hugs~
Things will work out, we just need to keep working towards what we want.

Oregon is nice, I wouldn't mind living there. There are some nice National Parks out there I would love to work at.
