Over the last few months I've been re-convincing myself that fashion is not pointless. To solidify my new conviction, three weeks ago I purchased a beautiful black overcoat at Le Baie. It has changed everything. To feel every day like an aesthetic object is a wonderful thing.

But more specifically, as my acceptance for fashion in general has grown

It's true, I'm hardly a punk. I'm some sort of wealthy wannabe.

Well, we seem to live in an age where nothing is authentic anymore. Fashion is a repurposing and remixing of the style of past movements. Fashion used to signify something political where now it only signifies some aesthetic. Or perhaps a nostalgia for some past political stance in some past political climate.

Huh.

Also, I'm not aiming to be 'cyberpunk' myself, per se. I'm fashioning myself after the protagonists from cyberpunk fiction.
