Prof Snape dies... again.

John Nettleship, the teacher said to have inspired our beloved Potions Master, died after a battle with cancer.  I had read about this man before but never saw a picture.  Now, I can see the resemblance. Yep, there's something quite Snapeish in that face.

Sad news, but interesting to see the face that launched so many ships! Also interesting that the poor man knew all along that he was JKR's model for her character and why. Not very flattering. :-/

Yes, I think so too.
Anyway, he came to terms with the whole thing. Mr Nettleship commented at some point that "The great thing though is that Alan Rickman was picked to play the character and the ladies think he is good. That made things better.”

He had sense of humour after all. :-)
